Free Dining Announcement by April 12

Oh and to answer the OP's question, I'm almost 100% positive that the answer would be no but you can always try.

We used ours last year and put the $200 on the Disney Visa and it came due 6 months from the deposit date. Then we paid off the trip 45 days prior to departure and that came due 6 months from that date.

Yes, its just the deposit with your disney visa. You don't have to put the whole thing at time of booking.

Who here is calling Monday for ressies ? When are you going and where are you hoping to stay ?

For us were going Aug 27 to Sept 2 and hoping to try POR this time. Yahoo for free dining.

I am going down on the 24th of August til' Sept 2nd and staying at POR FQ. I might adjust my dates if I cant get the DDP free.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Just got off the phone with Disney Visa and he told me you have to book entire package and put it all on your card that minute. I am very upset by this as I was planning to book, pay the deposit on the card, have a few months to pay that off and then put the rest on there 45 days out as you mentioned and I was told I can not do that. Now I run the risk of not gettting it at all or getting to stay where we wanted too. I am sooooooo
sad and don't really understand why they do that :confused3

call back and talk to another cm.

i have booked packages before in the past, did one last september.
you have to put $200 down on a package and pay the remainder off 45 days prior to arrival.

i have never heard of paying for the entire package when booking. maybe the cm you talked with is new and not aware of package bookings.

We just called Disney and they still won't say! The CM said we won't know untill the morning it comes out! Im still calling first thing Monday morning though!!
:rotfl: :cutie:

We are going August 24 - September 2 and staying at Music!1

I haven't done it in a while but with this promo before the payments didn't get taken off the 0% first. I know this is how it is on most other charges and offers but for some reason not on these.

I'm positive you do not have to pay the entire trip when you book. You will have to put a $200 deposit on your Disney Visa (which is eligible under the 0% financing.) The balance will be due 45 days prior to arrival and you can use whatever method of payment you want for that. It would also be eligible for the 0% financing which would expire 6 months from that date.

Don't worry! Just make your call on Monday - you will be fine :)

BTW, Chase applies payments to your lowest interest balances first so any payments you make will go to the 0% interest balance first not towards an other balance you may have on there!

I am praying you are right. That is how I thought it would be so when this visa person told me otherwise I was soooo upset. I will take your advice and wait til Monday and see what happens. I have told the kids we are going in September due to free dinning, last trip I paid and it was a lot of money. We will be shaving off $1200 dollars this time with free dinning and that is huge.:yay:
I have my finger crossed. Please hope with me all.:wizard:

I realllllly hope you guys are right and that cm I spoke too is clueless.
I don't want to wait til May to go back to Disney. Which would be the next time hibby can take vacation. We haven't been there since 05 and 2 years is long enogh.
I NEED to go this year. Its seems like its already been forever for me.
Please let him be wrong.

the promo was posted in mousesavers yesterday. so it is a valid promo of free dining with the package and for the dates you all are aware of.

I think your orginal post said you called Disney VISA...so you did not speak with a CM, you spoke with someone that works for Chase Visa. These people would know very liitle about how Disny books packages!!

You guys seem like you know what you are talking about so I am going to take a deep breath. relax and chill till Monday.
Thank you I was so upset there for awhile.

you are right, i checked disneydreamer5 post and she said she called disney visa.

hope she sees this and calls disney now

I wonder why when I paid my deposit with Disney Visa, it showed up on my statement right away. Do you have to call Visa to have that offer applied.:confused3

I wouldn't fret about having to wait for four days. We booked our rooms a full month and a half after the annoucement last year. I'm sure you'll be able to get a booking in on Thursday, should you choose :) (assuming you can put it on another credit card)

This is not the case with Disney trips that qualify for the 6 months free interest. You pay off anything on the card first and then payments are applied to the 0% that your trip is booked under for 6 months. I called Disney last year before I booked the trip and could not believe this deal, but it works. They actually pay off the higher interest before the lower interest. Unusual, but it is Disney magic! :wizard:

Ok, I know there are different oppinions on this but. If we get a disney visa tomorrow You can book a package tomorrow right? We would be approved instantly. We just need to know if we can book the same day. I heard you could apply over the phone and be offered a package to book right then.
Can someone give me the # for the Chase disney visa card?
Thanks
Heidi

It's not Disney Magic, it's Chase shenanigans. They are hoping you'll fail to pay off the 0% balance before the 6 month period expires, in which case the accumulated interest on that balance is applied and payable.
