Free Dining Announcement by April 12

Is this a WDW # or a CHase #??
We already have a ressie booked through WDW- so would we need to call them to cancel switch or the above #?

I called 407-WDISNEY to book our stay for 9/15-9/22 and told him what I had heard about the upcoming announcement. He acted (surprise surprise) like he had no idea what I was talking about. He also told me if the free dining "rumor" was indeed true, to call back with the promotional code and then the dining fee would be credited back, without cancelling and booking a new reservation, so I guess it depends on who you talk to

We like to go in late August and took advantage of Free Dining last year. It was MUCH more crowded than we're used to. The dining part was great, but we were taken aback at the wait times and crowds at attractions as well as restaurants. EMH evening at MK was a total bust - I almost panicked at one point when we were trapped by the evening parade crowds. I do recall at the time saying it was not worth it, but like childbirth, I now think it wasn't that bad and we'd do it again, lol. We won't be able to do it this year, though - more room for the rest of you!

I think that I'll try to book it on-line Monday that is if the website is up and functioning properly. We are hoping to go back to the Pop 8/27 to 9/3 and this year we are going to try the water parks since we need to go in August.

we have gone the last two years the first week of september. It is really not crowded. I think because alot of schools open that week. Luckily our doesn't!

I wish I could convince my DH to go w/ free dining. I miss those onsite themed restaurants, character meals and staying on property. We have AP passes, so he doesn't want to spend any more money.

I Couldn't wait any longer! booked with dreams Unlimited, and they said when it comes for the general public, they will change my booking for me A Relief!!! as i will be at work when they start bookings

And hey if they can't change it for sold out reasons ill change from POP! to another Value, and worst comes to worst i'll change to a moderate, a moderate with free dining works out the same for us as a value with dining paid for by us

I don't know if they are the "top" ones, but I would think the 2 TS shows are more difficult (HDDR and SoA) just because there is a limited quantity of seats available. CRT has always been tough to get, although I've heard it is easier since they started charging more for the photo package.

Question everyone-Can I call today and put a room on hold where I want it and then call 1st thing Monday to book it with dining or is it just better to wait until monday am? Just really want POFQ. Thanks, I know you usually have 7 days to pay your deposit.

Well I am glad I made that call. I have only had the card since August of last year. We have 1year interst free on all purchases and cash advances.
I still have a balance which is due is July. My question for them was can I put the deposit for my vacation on my card? and if I do would I have to pay that before the one year is up or 6 months from Monday?
The plan was to pay for the deposit now and then put the balance on my card the day we checked in so the 6 months interest free wouldn't kick in until then. The visa guy just informed me that I need to put the entire cost of the trip on my card when I book!
Now not only do I not have enough money availible but it would have to be paid off before we even got there.
Now I run the risk of having to wait and not being able to get the free dinning. I am so sad right now I can't even begin to tell you how crappy I am feeling. I was all set to book my trip frist thing Monday morning and now I can't.
I don't understand why I couldn't just book my reservations, pay the deposit and then put the balance on my card before we leave?
What is the big deal?
