Unique Baby Girls names??

My daughter is Cheyenne Nichole.
My son is Travis James.
Neither are hugely popular, but I've heard both before, don't know if that helps or not.

I named my girl Amelia.

I have a Lillian (Lilly) and an Amelia (Mia). If we have another girl she will be Caroline (Cara). Very traditional names will be unique because people don't use them much anymore but also not strange because everyone has heard them.

Well, I've not time to go thru all 42 pages of this thread, but both my DD have what I think are unique names.

Elena (pronounced El-len-ah) and Anika (pronounced Ah-neek-ka)

I've not heard of any of them yet.

ps. Elena is a version of Helen and means bright or shining one.
Anika is Scandanavian and means grace.

My DD is Lindy.

Was my father's middle name after Charles Limberg (SP?) He always hated it saying it was a girl's name. I always wanted a girl named Lindy Marie. Which is both of my parents middle names. Became even more perfect as she is the first grandchild that he never met. She was born on the 3 year anniversary of his funeral.

She loves her name. We have a picture of her on the Boardwalk where they were doing Lindy Hop dance lessons.

I have met a couple of women that use Lindy as a nickname for a longer first name. I even work with one and it is a little wierd for me to hear her name at work!

I have met a couple of women that use Lindy as a nickname for a longer first name. I even work with one and it is a little wierd for me to hear her name at work!

My aunt is Mary Elenda, but she's always been called Lindy. I love that name!

I also have a cousin named Libya. Her dad was serving in the army in the country of Libya in Africa when she was born. She's always been called Libby, though.

Her sister's name is Melodee Starr, which is kind of unusual too.

Aubie is also the name of the mascot of the Auburn Tigers! How cute!

I have a friend going to name her little girl Emerson.. i think its a LOVELY name! as for werid name awards... my friend's boss named his boy Gator.. yes Gator..and his little girl is Ally... yes that's right they have Ally Gator...

I went to school with a brother and sister with flip-flopped names. Her name was Shawn and his name was Dana. In my extended family we have a boy named Shawn and a girl named Dana. Just the opposite! Lol.

One of the names we considered for a girl was: Sorcha until hubby shot it down. Shucks.

In a compromise he got to pick the first child's first name and me the middle. The second child I got to pick the first name and him the middle. And if we have a third I am going to be a hog and pick both names! J/K!
