UGH! I am on the phone with suddenlink trying to get our emails switched over. Today is the last day & they can't figure out what the problem is either.

This morning didn't go as planned. My friend who we were suppose to have lunch with called to let me know they had to cancel. Her GM was not doing well & not expected to last the day. She was going to pack the twins up & take them to the nursing home but I convinced her to let me watch them so she could take care of her GM. WOW! They are 7 months old now & moving around. OY BOY! OY BOY!!! The kids walked to their house after getting off the bus at noon. We left there around 3.

I then took my kids to the doctor to get the flu mist. It is possiblee that they have been exposed to the strain of flu that one takes care of. I figure that it is better to be safe than sorry & have them come down with it when we are at the IL's.

It was Shirley Temples with massive amounts of cherries at our cool kid table! Who needs them jimmies!!

The kids in early seating must have eaten all of the sprinkles.

Even the big kids (DD13 Elizabeth) got sprinkles in early seating.

But those of you with ill kids . . . did any of them have the flu mist/shot?

I am convinced that Sophia's Monday illness was the "I don't want to go back to school variety" - she is fit as a fiddle, and she DID have the flu mist before the cruise, and we all had the shot.

Just curious if this may have in fact helped us!

Well, I must also admit that Sophia spent minimal time in the clubs. She was only there for our Palo Brunch and Palo Dinner.

She is not into the "club scene" like her mom . . .

Bella wasn't in the club the first two days but after that she was. No flu shot just the hep one. She got sick Sunday at 11:30P. We were in the mall most of Saturday and it was packed and despite the use of my CC club antibacterial wipes - we ate there and those tables etc are loaded with bacteria. That mall has a carrousel in the middle. Imagine the pool of germs. Up to that fit as a fiddle. They are saying there is a vicious viral strain going on here. In one town 23 kids were out.

No flu mist/shot for the girls. Walt had the shot. Walt has a very mild cold--the usual preschooler runny nose yuck.

I think that Kaitlyn's coughing is the same virus that she had for 2 weeks before the cruise. No fever or anything just the hacking cough at night. OY! They just got the mist today because it is very likely that someone in the area has that strain. Strep happens no matter what.

It was cleaner on the ship. Putting the kids back in the real world has been a shock to their system with all of the germs.

Well whatever is wrong with your kid is also wrong with mine because after this first Mickey bar he also just wanted vanilla ice cream with sprinkles the rest of the week.

Allie had a flu shot and she has the toddler runny nose thing as well.
Nathan has not had a flu shot and he is perfectly healthy.

DH had a flu shot and he feels like he has a mild cold coming on.
I did not have a flu shot and I also feel like I have a mild cold coming on.

I don't know if anyone wants to draw any conclusions from the above or not...

DH is getting ready to go out Christmas shopping so I will be home by myself with the kids. Allie should be going to bed in about 30 minutes or so and hopefully she will go willingly. Apparently she was in full 2 year old mode today at school. Right now she is watching (and dancing to) the Wiggles so hopefully that will put her in a good, cooperative mood.

Both girls and I had the flu shot...I am sure you heard both girls coughing up a storm on the ship.... Since returning home, the cough is gone and the dr said they are fine.....
I just wrapped 16 of those VS gift packs. I was too cheap to buy bags for each...terrible I know!

I bought extra as well as a gift set of Desire for myself for DH to wrap. He said --- "well, V I haven't been shopping yet" DUH!!!

I just got all of DH's presents wrapped and under the tree while he was out. Of course that still leaves all the kids stuff!
