Upgrading to club level

Has anyone ever upgraded to club level on a cash basis when using your points for a stay? We are staying for 5 nights at Boardwalk Villas and wondered if you could upgrade to use the club level room at Boardwalk Inn. Curious to see if anyone has ever done this. Any info is much appreciated.

You can't mix cash with points for stays. If you want club level at BWV, and you purchased direct (or resale prior to March 21, 2011), you can use your points to book from the Disney Collection. It is, as many will tell you, not a wise use of your points.

Thanks for the quick reply - have looked before at the points needed for the non dvc rooms and agree - would not use our points for that.

You could rent out your points (or the existing reservation if it is during a prime DVC period) and then use the cash to stay CL.

IMO club level amenities aren't worth the money.
