We previously visited in the spring this year, staying off site with our son, his wife and daughter. Disney Magic was evident in the eyes of a 2 year old. She knows every Disney Jr character and the looks on her face meeting them all in person was priceless and memories to last a lifetime.
However Nana and Papa got to miss a lot of their favorites. So this trip is for us.
Our wedding anniversary is in October but most of the specials are off the books for most of the month. We managed to find a super deal with the free dining plan for November.
So here is our itinerary which includes round trip air and transfers.
Arrive Nov 14 at 10am staying at CSR
An early dinner at Las Ventanas followed by an evening at MVMCP.
Nov 15 & 16 will be spent park hopping with a breakfast at BOG on the 16th.
Our flight home on the 17th is a late flight leaving at 530pm.
So 69 days till FP+ and decisions for dining those nights

Some changes to our dining.
Nov 14 Diamond Horseshoe but we'd prefer BOG before 6pm
Nov 15 Maya Grill
Nov 16 BOG breakfast
Nov 16 Restaurant Marrakesh dinner

I was able to secure the elusive BOG reservation this morning. It's for breakfast at 8am on the 15th. I previously had the 16th at 9am. Now to try and get the 4pm dinner at BOG on the 14th

Persistence pays off!
This morning I finally scored a BOG dinner that was so elusive. So here is the final schedule without changing due to FP+ reservations

Nov 14 10:30am touchdown with Magic Express transportation to CSR. 4pm admission to MVMCP and 6:30 Dinner at BOG.
Nov 15 8am breakfast at BOG. Afternoon at Epcot with 7pm dinner at Restaurant Marrakesh
Nov 16 Split day between AK and HS depending on FP+ selections for AK (hoping for Avatar FoP)
Nov 17 morning breakfast at Disney Springs. 5pm flight home

So now that the resort, airfare, transfers and the dining have all been booked, now it's the anticipation of fastpass day. It's going to be a long 2 months
60 days till fastpass selections.

So Disney decided today to end the DVA. I was using it to pay for this upcoming trip. I took advantage of their 5% offer and immediately made payment to the balance. Looks like the remaining balance will be paid 1 gift card at a time. Anyone else disappointed?

My DW is now starting to get psyched and we are coming to the 90 day mark. FP+ selections will be next.

Paying for the BEAST
Originally started this with Disney Vacation Account.
Purchasing $100 DGCs for $95 each. So initial DVA was $1000 at a cost of $950. Initial deposit included airfare so $900 withdrawn to pay for that.
Disney then decided to end the account, so I got a DGC for $105.
Now it was a matter of getting more DGCs to pay the balance. So here are the purchases.

  • $95 for $100
  • $90 for $100 ($5 off coupon)
  • $180 for $200 ($10 off coupon)
  • $75 for $100 ($20 off coupon)
  • $190 for $200
Total spent so far $1580 worth $1705 in DGCs.
Plan to keep buying up till departure and use cards to payoff balance and the rest to have money for goodies

If you really want something, you should never give up hope. Today we are at our 50 day mark. On our 60 day mark, there was no available FoP Fast passes available. This morning when I checked, I was able to secure FP for FoP. I would initially think there was a cancellation but there were times available for the whole afternoon. What gives?

Late last night I finally scored the elusive Ohana breakfast. This has been one of the hardest to get. Now just one more to get. I would like to get a dinner reservation around 4:15 for the MCMCP. Right now we have a 6:40 BOG. Let's see if we get lucky
