A lot of you have said to get to the park an hour early. Can you get onto Mainstreet and the shops before the park actually opens

Usually they let you in the gates early, especially on weekends, you can browse main street, and then they have a rope barrier, that they drop at the appointed time. When we have been there this works on weekends, but not week days.

If the park opens at 9am or later, then Main Street opens 30 minutes prior to park opening. If opening is 8am, then the gates won't open until then. Main Street will open at 8 with the rest of the park.

During our recent trip in Sept all our entry days were on a weekday (Mon-Fri) and the park wasn't opening until 10:00 a.m. (except Fri - 9:00 a.m. and individuals with EE) and Main street wasn't open early. Nobody got pass the gates until the scheduled opening and the countdown. Maybe on the weekends they open the gates a 1/2 early.

We have always been able to go in 30 minutes prior to the park opening. The shops are all opened and that is when we would browse there OR do character greetings. At DCA they opened early and had a gal out there blowing bubbles. That was great for my two boys!
