We have a Viking Epic pop up. No frills, but a wonderful layout. (no crawling over the dinette or anything to get into the bunkends)
We love it and even though we have the funds to purchase a bigger camper and the means to tow it, we are so pleased with it that we are not even considering getting rid of it for years to come.
It has been nothing but great for us. We upgraded just a few weeks ago and put in an AC unit. It has storage space out the wazoo and we truck that puppy everywhere. It is small and light enough that we can tow it with just about anything (mostly our minivan) and i feel totally comfortable with it behind us tooling down any highway doing a pretty good rate of speed.
not to be tacky, but it wasn't too expensive either. New it was around 3 grand.
You can get a uses popup, but inspect it very carefully for:
- easy/smooth motion while lifting or cranking down
- check all interior areas(including inside cabinets and under matresses) for any sign of water leaks. (stains, mildew smells, dampness, air fresheners - we have seen heavy air fresheners used to cover up the oder of mildew)
good luck and happy shopping.
