I have been going to WDW forever. You think I would know this answer but I honestly don't! Can you buy all the different types of tickets at the gates? We always buy our AP's before we head down. We will have someone along with us this time that has a few days left on an old pass. She said she may want to buy a 4 or 5 day hopper after she uses up her days. I would certainly assume she could do this at the gate but I have never purchased tickets down there.

My second question: Has anyone heard if ticket prices will be going up anytime soon?

Thanks so much for the help!

Lisa

At MK there is a white building off to the right, just before you pass thru the turn stil's,there your friend can tell them she wants to "up grade to a 4 or 5 day hopper" and all the unused portions of the old ticket will be discount from the price of the new ticket. This has been reported to be more economical than using the old ticket up first. Then it will be easier to know how many more days are needed on the new hopper.

Ap's go up in late Dec early Jan,Hoppers go up sometime around March,"usually" but this has been a strange year and people are divided as to whether Disney World will raise prices on the ticket media. IMHO Disney will raise them as usual, they need the revinue. Disney Seldom gives anything a way Cheaply. But with tourism down, it's anyones guess what Disney will do??

The building off to the right of the MK entrance is guest services, and while you can purchase tickets there, the line can be pretty long when the park first opens.

There are stands located at the TTC (assuming you go to the MK via the TTC) where you can also purchase tickets, and since there are more of these, and more of them open when the parks first open, the lines are not usually very long.

If you are staying onsight, you can also purchase most ticket media at the front desk of the hotel.

Thanks so much! I had know idea you could purchase tickets at the resorts. We will be at OKW so that should work out great. Thanks!

Depending on the age of the partially used tickets, it's usually more economical to use the old tickets "as is" and then buy new ones. Or - have one person in the family use all the old tickets and buy new ones for the rest of the family.

All ticket prices went up at the same time in January 2001.
