Looking for current reviews of the star wars desert party. We attended the HEA party in October and absolutely love it. Looking to try another - and I hear this one includes wine!

We went in January this year and loved it. The only complaint I had was there are no chairs so you have to stand at a table. Not sure about the wine but I do know they had 3 different mixed drinks. My husband liked it so much he is making me do it again when we go back this January :-) There is a thread all about the Star Wars dessert party, if you search you should be able to find it. :yay:

I did it just this past October. It was really great, though because of the timing we made the mistake of letting it replace dinner. I would NOT do that again, though with it starting at 6:30 (8 PM show) it was hard to time. Thankfully they did have some pita, hummus, and olives and cheese skewers in addition to all the sugar, which was a lifesaver.

Anyway, that's my fault. The event itself was excellent. I had never done a desert party before, but I loved how they made us feel like a VIP with our lanyards and big passes to the event. The selection of deserts was great, especially the flash-frozen Nutella truffles. There was so much I don't know that I even tried everything. It was really nice to have the private area, though meeting the characters was still open to the public so the wait times were still long. We were escorted to our viewing area by a couple of Troopers and we had a great spot to watch the shows. They also gave us TIE Fighter popcorn buckets to take with us. Overall, we had a great time!

DH is a huge Star Wars fan, we have done the Star Wars tour when it included the dessert party and the dessert party on it's own.

We really like it as far as the offerings and the drinks available. The only downside which was mentioned above is that there are no chairs. We ended up sitting on the floor with our goodies.

I do not remember any wine, but there were three different alcoholic mixed drinks that were good. I love the pita and hummus, the savory stuff is my favorite. DD loves the desserts!

We really like the reserved spot for the Star Wars show, it's one of our favorites.

We did it last year. We enjoyed it but felt like we didn't get as much value out of it as others because we aren't big drinkers. They did a good job with my son's gluten free diet. They showed us what he could have on the buffet and also gave him a special bag with gluten free treats. It was nice to not have to stress about finding space for the show. We were in the middle on it. Glad we did it, but we didn't feel like it was a must do.

i went in October. I cant remember the name of the drink "Galactic Margarita"? maybe. What ever it was called, i had my fair share. They also had cans of budweiser. also my fair share. Being buzzed, made waiting in the rain for the show to start more bearable. They gave a gift on the way out. It was a Tie fighter that you can fill with snacks with a lanyard. It was kind of claustrophobic with no seating.

Thank you! Sounds like fun. I booked it for our march trip.

I was surprised it has just a 1 day cancellation policy.

We did this party in October and enjoyed it but out of all the parties we have done (Illuminations Sparking Dessert Party, FEA & JBJB), it was our least favorite. ONLY because of the space though, we felt it too confining for our taste. Most of the areas with high tops were all very narrow and tight. We prefer the parties where it is held in one open area. We did think the food and drink options were just as good as the other parties though and we enjoyed the storm troopers. My suggestion is not to get there late so you can choose a spot that you will like. Enjoy!!

Not that I'm ever a guest, but being at all those dessert parties a lot, I agree.

In keeping with the outer space theme, I jokingly refer to the venue as the black hole.

That's because it's the same department that puts on all of those parties and you're likely to encounter the same party staff.
