On site stay and express pass question

We will be visiting Universal Orlando for the first time in June. If we stay 2 nights in one of the deluxe resorts with unlimited express pass is that pass good for just the 2 nights we stay there? For example, if we check in on a Wednesday after 4 on arrival day, do we lose one day of using the express pass? or is it good for 2 more days like Thursday and Friday?

Your express pass is good from the day you check in until the end of your check out day. So if you check in on Wednesday until Friday, it's good Wed, Thurs, & Fri.

Also wanted to add that you don’t need to wait until after 4 on arrival day to check in for the EP. You can go first thing in the morning to get your room key and start enjoying EP even if your room isn’t ready yet.

Yep, it`s prudent to arrive as early as possible on your first day to take full advantage of the perk.

And lasts for the full final day too even after you check out...........

In fact you can check in early enough to make use of EE on your check-in day (if you want to get there that early). If so, just drop your bags at the concierge and head on to the park as early as you want.

This is what we always do.

We get in the night before our park days and stay offsite to save some money. We get up early the next day and transfer to the on-property hotel, check in, leave our bags with concierge, and still make it before EE starts.

It makes for an early morning, but we love the mornings in the parks. Since we're on-site, it makes it easy to take a mid-day nap if we need to.

So if we stay 2 nights is express pass actually good for 3 days? Wednesday Thursday and Friday?

I will just add that you are going to love having Express Passes! We just went to the parks on a slow weekend. I debated staying at Cabana Bay instead of Royal Pacific, but decided on RP for many reasons, not the least of which was the EPs. (Plus, the price difference with a military discount ended up being $64 per night, so it was a no-brainer.) Even on a slow weekend, we saved a LOT of time with EPs. It was easy to see, as we blew right by people in the standard lines. And even if it was only 10-15 minutes each time, multiply that by MANY rides (we were hitting the roller coasters hard), and it was literally hours not spent in line, or alternatively several additional times we got to ride.

It’s good from the moment you checkin (and you can do the checkin process from 6am) until parks ckose the day you check out. It’s a terrific perk.
