Monday the 29th or Thursday Septembert 1st???

We are going to be in the LA area for 8 days and I get 3 Disney days. Planning on Tuesday August 30 and Wed the 31st. Can't decide between Monday and Thursday. Crowd predictions have Thursday a better day, but I'm not sure about the impact of the 1/2 marathon weekend on Thursday. Suggestions?
