Las Vegas hotel reviews

We won't be spending much time in our room either,so clean and safe is fine with us.We are pretty near everywhere and will spend most of our time in other casinos anyway.Thanks.

Stayed at the Hilton off the strip last year, not impressed. Dirty room

Stayed at Circus Circus one night this year, also a fairly old and dated and not well cleaned room

Stayed at Ballys for two nights this year, lobby and such was in great shape but hallways and elevators not so much. Our room was huge for a standard room, bed was good enough and the room was pretty clean. Just dated

For our last night we stayed at Aria, This is a nice place. Room was clean, bathroom was great, beds were great. Only complaint was if you removed one of the items in the room(say almonds or something and don't sit them back down quickly you will be charged for them) Had to have three items refunded because we looked at them but didn't use any of them.

Our most recent trip just last month, we stayed at Bellagio for the first time. We had a lake view room...absolutely beautiful. The location is perfect...the hotel is beautiful. This is our new preferred hotel in Vegas :)

We have also stayed at Monte Carlo a few years ago. It was nice...we had a strip view (this was before City Center was built). Now I would think the view would not be as good with all of the new construction.

Stayed at the MGM Grand in March.

Pros - So much to do in hotel, nice pool area, good restuarants and great if you like sports.

Cons - The sheer size of it. Its absolutley huge and If you dont like walking then the walk from the lifts to the pool is shocking! But you are in Vegas! Everythinng is huge!:lmao:

Harrahs pros- that bar they got outside and location
cons - its getting kind of dumpy

Paris Pros- great location, love the twilight in Paris atmosphere , lots f god restaurants and real clean

Cons - dumb pool

MGM - great rooms, cleanest rooms, fabulous casino with lots of restaurants, good pool

Con - lots of walking

Mirage - Clean, fun, great location, great pool and I had a sexy roommate :woohoo:, outside bar in front of place is lots of fun

cons- You could get great deals there once in a while but if they probably over charge

Stayed at Polo Towers last tues for one night. There was a big convention in town so most hotels on the strip were $$. We bought the airfare long ago before looking at hotel rates.

We had a 1-bdr suite with a full kitchen. The room looked fairly recently remodeled, king bed in the bedroom and a full size murphy bed in the living room. The only con was the AC was a bit noisy. Otherwise it was a nice quiet place.

Found a really great rate for Flamingo Go Room-Strip View over Super Bowl weekend. Could've booked Harrahs-Luxury Strip View for $50 less and Bally's North Tower or Suite in South Tower in same ballpark. PH has reasonably priced rooms. we've stayed there before but i'm not a fan of the go-go girls @ the tables.:rolleyes1

Have been reading some iffy reviews on Flamingo on other sites, mostly common area issues - carpet, condition of standard rooms which do look beat. The Go Rooms are very retro, exactly the vibe I want this trip, and the location is a winner for us too.

Having those dreaded 2nd thoughts;)& wondering if anybody has stayed @ the Flamingo lately.

Pros:

Good size room with good themeing. Nicely layed out bathroom with a great shower. Free internet access ( hard wire ). Eight minutes by cab from airport. Nicely themed pool area.

Cons:

Parking lot is a long walk from checkin. When LAX is open the SE first floor corner can get VERY crowded ( club opens late and crowd forms early ). The Luxor shopping area is "weak" at best. Resort location at the far south end of the strip can make checking out the strip a LONG walk if you don't have a car.

Notes:
Room is sizable and well themed. Bathroom is very roomy with a HUGE shower ( no tub ). Vanity is a single sink but a large counter. Rooms are undergoing renovation as of this post.
The pyramid is layed out very well. Activities all are located in the center on two floors. Casino is on the frist floor. In the corners on the first floor are two Starbucks ( NE and NW corners ), There is a deli in the SW corner and a escalator going to the second floor in the SE corner. Inclanators are located at the extreme end of all four corners of the pyramid, each accesses roughly 10 floors of the resort ( what floor your on will determine what inclanator you need to use to get to your room ). In the casino is the 24 hour resturant and the stairs going down to the buffet along with serveral lounges (3). At locations around the casnio are several sit down eateries. In the middle of the north side of the pyramid is a indoor walkway to Excaliber. On the second floor of the atrium is the ticket center for shows and exibition areas. Also is the indoor walkway going to Mandalay Bay along with the fast food court and another sit down eating venue. Above the second floor atrium level the pyramid soars up 30 stories giveing it a very open feel and a view of the rooms that run the perimeter.

Just got back from 2 nights at Aria - very nice ,very high tech - control everything from drapes to maid service sign from the tv. Confusing bill -- ate at the restaurants 2x and had $100 meal credit and every line item was listed except $100 worth. Took 15 min to figure out if it was right!
Really nice room - we were upgraded to a city view on the 29th floor which was very nice - looked out towards NYNY and at night very cool.
Pools (3) were kind of so-so - nice but no theming or special features. 3 rather large jacuzzis. All closed by 6pm!! That wasn't so nice.
Gaming area nice. Nice art shops and high-end fashion shops very close - and a CVS on the corner. It has a tram to the Monte Carlo.
I'd stay there again at the rate we got. I prefered the rooms at the Encore but it is more expensive and kind of far up the strip, while Aria is really central to everything. And I still think the Mirage has the best pool of all of them.

I just stayed at the MGM Grand a couple of weeks ago. They recently renovated all the rooms, but honestly I liked them better before. I liked the older decor that paid homage to old movies. With the renovations, oddly, the rooms weren't any better to me. The bed was moderately comfortable, no iPhone dock, one phone (and it was next to the bed, non on the desk). The automatic window shades were great, and the bathroom was really nice. I guess I just expected more from a hotel that had spent so much money so recently on improvements.

Oh, and the buffet there was average at best. I didn't like it much overall, but there were a couple of standout items (mainly the desserts). It cost about $32 with tax, though, which seemed overpriced.

We decided to stay 'old school' when we visited Vegas in September 12 -at the Flamingo.

Firstly, we were a large group and because of a conference that had been booked we discovered we'd had our rooms bumped to a lower room type and frankly, they were not great. The bed was comfy but more because we were exhausted, than possibly its actually comfort level.

The breakfast/ dinner buffet was excellent however, we ended up paying for one of them twice due to a tick not being put into a box.

The pool was very shallow - something we'd never encountered before - and one had to walk through heavily peopled areas in ones swimmers to access it, so that was a little offputting for an older gal .

The live flamingos were beautiful and I took a billion photos of them.

The main thing that stayed with me from this hotel/casino was the seriously awful ventilation. As a non-smoker I found myself choking most of the time - even the rooms smelled horrific. Other casinos we visited had great ventilation and the smoke didn't rate a mention - namely the MGM , Paris, NYNY and the Venetian.

Would I stay here again... probably not, I loved NYNY and the Venetian and possibly even Paris. Clearly a jump in price, but worth it in my book.
Having said all this, I LOVED Vegas and can't wait to visit again one day.

We at the Linq right now. Next door to Harrahs and on the Monorail line.

Good sized rooms - a little larger than Camelot Inn across from DL. Refrigerator and safe are in good working order. Considering this used to be the Imperial Palace, they really did a great update of this property - and for $30/night booked through Allegiant Air.

Our view of the High Roller:

Excalibur (x2): stayed here for cheap thanks to My Vegas Slots game. It was my first favorite on the strip. Returning November 2020.

Park MGM
- Stayed here in 2019. My newest favorite. Home to Lady Gaga. Was the Monte Carlo. (It has a small monorail to and from Bellagio)

Flamingo (2014) - Stayed here. Lot of walking to and from lobby. Not the best views out of the windows.

Treasure Island (2019): Not my favorite. I rather stay near MGM Grand.Cozy Bed. Near Fashion Show Mall across from Venetian.

Silver Sevens (2016): LEAST Favorite. On Flamingo Road. Thin walls, so you can hear EVERYTHING in the next room. AC barely worked.

Bally's (2015): It is a okay hotel in my opinion. Home to Wahlburgers, and has an entrance to main monorail.

The only complaint i have about any hotel on the strip is that there is NO complimentary airport pick up. It costs $20+ for round trip and the driver got lost at the airport on my last trip.

Stayed at Circus Circus when my brother and I were kids. Great for kids due to indoor amusement park. havent been there since 2008.
