Is it possible for a WDW lifetime ban to be lifted???

What’d he get banned for?
Public intoxication at Epcot. We were there for a buddies birthday and were drinking around the world. In Japan we was very intoxicated so he decided to jump into the waterfalls. When security came, he ran from them but was caught. He was taken away somewhere. I had to give one of the security guards my number. I got a call a few hrs later to come get him. He was issues a do not trespass on any Disney property effective immediately.

At some point, he may be able to appeal that one....
Like I was young & dumb, but i have learned my lesson. lol

Yea it's not like he attacked someone or shoplifted. People get intoxicated all the time drinking around the world, especially during wine and dine.

It was more likely the jumping in the waterfalls and trying to evade security that did him in...sadly I think we all have that ONE friend who would do something like that. Where you see the stupidity in slow motion in your brain and then do a facepalm.

The ban I've heard of is the lady who kept stealing people's RunDisney race bibs. They finally caught her, and in addition to criminal charges, I believe she received a lifetime ban. And she absolutely should have.

Did he go before a judge for it? If so what did the judge say? If it were me he would have to go in on his own, as I would not want to drag my family through the mud with the issue. But that is mho.

10 years ago, my brother-in-law got very drunk at Epcot and kicked a trashcan. He was escorted off property and they took his information and said he was banned. He has grown up a lot since then (he was young and dumb) and has recently been back. The reservation was made under his wife’s name and he said he had absolutely no problems whatsoever while there.

Someone stole something out of my moms bag when we were there back in the 80s. We were told that they got a lifetime ban. I feel bad for them now. They were just stupid kids doing stupid stuff. Imagine telling your wife “Sorry hun, we can never take out kids to Disney World because I’ve been banned since the 80s”

I agree, if it’s been a while and the person has changed (matured), everyone deserves a second chance. I don’t think they keep records on it though, or at least not in all cases, because my BIL was banned in 2006 and returned in 2017 with no issues. His finger scan didn’t work once and he had to show ID and no one said anything.

That would be an expensive gamble to take, to book a vacation and hope that they didn't keep a record of one's ban. Maybe in situations like your BIL, it isn't a lifetime ban. I think certain things should be reconsidered. However, I have no problem if Disney upholds the bans of adults who were physically aggressive towards others or who were stealing from guests.

If your family member wants to appeal then he should do this on his own. There is no way I would intervene if the person did not step up and try for himself, and there is no way I woudl try to take that family member with me if the ban was still in place.

This goes for any destination. If my family member did something that causes a "do not trespass" I would honor that and leave my family member behind until the ban was lifted. Honestly, depending on the reason, I might still leave that person behind.

A friend of mine had a ban. She later was married, new name and all had no trouble since, just saying. She's been several times with no issues.
