After half a century, Cypress Gardens closed its doors for the last time two weeks ago. They now join a long list of Florida theme parks that simply could not compete against the might of Disney and Universal.
For those people who had an annual pass to Cypress Gardens, Epcot is offering a complimentary one-day admission during the Flower and Garden Festival (April 25 - June 8, 2003).
The passholder must visit the Epcot Guest Relations Window and show their pass. The ticket can be used any one day during the Flower and Garden Festival.
A number of other Florida attractions have offered a variety of free or discounted deals to Cypress Gardens pass holders since the Polk County park shut down April 13. Those attractions include: Splendid China, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Silver Springs, Weeki Wachee Springs, the Florida Aquarium, Historic Bok Tower Sanctuary and Fantasy of Flight.
