Eisner Stepping Down??????

This morning on Pittsburgh's 100.7 in the hollywood report, the reporter said that because disney is not doing so great right now that there are rumors that Eisner will step down!!!!!! How about that for a rumor!

And Baron was just complaining that his Crusade was fruitless. It is painfully obvious that the movers and shakers on Wall Street follow the Rumors & News board and have decided to move the timetable up on Ei$ner's removal. Their very actions these last few days since the earnings call shed light on their facscination with our discussions of the GF v. Poly, the lack of MHB in our diet, and whether or not the AKL deserves a monorail.

Forget emails to Burbank. Post messages on the DIS if you want change to be effectuated!

I wish this rumor was true. Disney needs a real 'kick in the pants'. I'd love to see some mastermind come along a snap things into place. I mean really pull things together. Like Eisner did when he first 'joined'.
Maybe if we all wish at the same time, it'll come true.

There is a rumor out there that Diane Disney Miller is jockeying for position with the Board of Directors. The question is whether she wants to take the spotlight position or whether she has someone in mind. I will admit that there is part of me that would like to see someone in the Disney family back in charge of things...

I feel the same way..... They are the only ones who will have the attachment to the place the way Walt did. But it needs it's business matters attended to also. Can she handle it? If not, hopefully she can build a strong team behind her. Oh, how I'm wishing this to be true!

Where did the Diane Disney Miller rumor originate? I can't imagine that, at her age, she would want to be in that position. Maybe she has something in mind for one of her children -- who are very involved in the "business" of the Walt Disney legacy. They were involved in "The Man Behind the Myth" documentary as well as the CD-Rom of Walt Disney.

I agree that one person is not capable of overseeing all aspects of the Disney Company as it has branched out into so many areas than it originally had.

Walt Jr. has been giving all those free Disney Trips away for years on the internet,,, Maybe now since Go.com is almost completely shut down.. maybe he will come out of the basement of cinderella's castle and take over his dad's empire... But he needs a team to help him run this empire .... Get the guy who designed the Pop Resort and have him run the parks ... put a big What's Up on top of the castle ..........
