Early planning stages

Not sure what the best time of year to visit CA.Were from the UK and would like to see as much of CA as poss.
Planning to visit for 2 weeks fly-drive visiting;San Francisco,Yosemite,Anaheim and Newport/Huntington beach.We would like it to be warm enough so the DD's can go in the sea.
