I was just watching a cable show called "Kramer & Kudlow" They were talking about Disney and asking if Eisner should replace three board members. What I did'nt know was that disney has an internal rule about family members of board members working for disney. It would seem that there are three board members who currently have children working for disney. The only solution is for either the board members to resign or for their children to resign.

The implication was that this rule would be an easy way for eisner to sway the board in his favor, by replacing the three members with new one's that would favor him.

Anybody else hear about this?

It's not Disney's rules - it's a proposed recomendation by the New York Stock Exchange which they may require listed companies to adopt.

At the moment, the current tiff about some board members having children employeed by Disney several years ago was nothing but a shot by Eisner against some of his more vocal critics on the board. The fight has been nasty for a while and some of it is leaking out into the public.

Worse things will happen before all this is over.

Shouldn't the 3 board members be exempt from this since they broke this policy before it was in place.

It would be like changing the speed limit tomorrow to 45 and writing everyone tickets for driving 65 yesterday.
