Connection Passes - to purchase or not to purchase ?

O.K. I have been hesitating long enough about buying passes...
I am looking for feedback on the Connections Passes. I did sign up for $1.00 trial period and was ready to BUY! However, today when I was checking Mousesavers, I noticed Mary had posted a disclaimer of sorts that mentioned some people were having problems with duplicate billings, delays in receiving tickets, etc. Anyone have any experiences with Connections, specifically the Passes, that they would like to share???
 
I ordered 2 7-day Park Hopper Plus passes in early January and they arrived in 2 to 3 days. You have to sign for them when UPS delivers them. The cost was 292.90 ea for a total of $585.80.

When we were at WDW in December, we also bought 2 7-day PHP passes for our guests with a DVC discount and the total was $616.98 with tax included.

Hope this helps as we are comparing apples to apples at least.

I also bought the Quick and Casual vouchers, the breakfast vouchers and a few lunch vouchers as well as Bahama Breeze gift cards so we think it was well worth it.

Our credit card has been charged correctly and we received everything in a timely manner. So far, it has been a good experience--Now we just can't wait to start using them this weekend!
 
I think it is. I bought 8 of the connections quick and casual vouchers for our trip WEDNESDAY! (Doing the I'm going to Disney happy dance!)

There are 4 adults going and I bought 2 vouchers for each person. I will keep notes on what we saved for each voucher. I will probably keep the memebrship. i go to Disney about 2-3 times a year. In addition the the quick and casual vouchers, my family is taking a trip in the fall for my parents 40th anniversary. I will be buying 5-4 day vouchers. And more quick and casual vouchers. WIth the movie tickets and all the disney discounts, I should more than get my money's worth.

When I get back, I will post what I saved! Be back next Monday, hopefully be posting Tuesday or Wednesday.
 
I purchased our kids 5 days PHP tickets and 8 vouchers on Friday, and we got them yesterday ( tuesday). I live in Valley, and the office is in Omaha, so I didn't know if that's why I was recieveing them so quickly..
 
Just thought I'd let you know some recent experiences I had with Connections.

After reading the generally favorable posts over the past few months concerning Connections I joined Connections online (through MyPoints) about two weeks ago so that I could order discounted Parkhopper Plus tickets.

A few hours later I called a "toll" number and proceeded to ask several questions and verified prices etc.; no problems and quick transfer to a supervisor. Evidently only a supervisor can actually sell tickets over the phone based on my experience. We were not ready to actually buy at that time.

On 1/21 I called back, ready to order tickets. I had to call a "toll" number again since our information packet with the toll-free info hadn't arrived yet. After a lengthy wait someone eventually transferred me to a supervisor who tried several times to get my charge through on American Express (for the double miles promotion available on my card right now) for the 4 parkhopper plus tickets but for some reason nothing worked. He suggested trying the next day. I asked for a toll free number which he gave me.

On 1/22 I called the toll-free number but was informed by their automated system that "my account had been cancelled"! So again, I had to call the "toll" number and waited almost 10 minutes before a very "clueless" person finally checked the system and told me something I already knew: my account WASN'T cancelled! She was very slow in figuring out what to do and as she talked I could hear her trying to get the attention of a supervisor (Alex) but finally giving up. She eventually said she would connect me to another supervisor but I ended up connected to someone's voice mail. I then redialed and ended up on hold for at least 5 more minutes. Remember this was all on my money! When I finally got a human voice I did CANCEL for real; carefully getting the person's name and ID#.

While I realize that everything I experienced is part of the perils of any modern phone system and that I may have experienced a bad day or two my husband and I both agreed that any business that we were going to give almost $1000.00 to sight unseen needs to give us better customer service and higher quality control!

I wish others better luck!
 
I ordered mine after Thanksgiving, they arrived 2 days later. Used them in 1/02 w/ no problems. They also had a plus feature which we used for free admission to Pleasure Island!
 
I ordered 1 adult and I child 5-day PHP passes from Connections on Tuesday of this week and received them Thursday. No problems.

If you are looking for discount DQ tickets, I bid for them in a dutch auction on E-Bay--adults (21.95) and kids (17.95); shipping was $1 for the entire order. I recevied my tickets within 5 working days.

I was able to save lots of $$$ by purchasing tickets from these two outfits.
