Coasters at Seaworld

How would you compare the Seaworld coaster intensity to those at Disney, like Expedition Everest?

Much more intense. Disney focuses on theming. Sea Worlds coasters are all about thrill. Compare them to most Six Flags coasters. Kracken has large hills, is very fast, and goes upside down 7 times. Manta is a flying coaster where you are flying like Superman down large hills and go upside down. It’s a very unique coaster, but very fun and very intense. Mako is a hyper coaster with huge drops and huge airtime. Expedition Everest is a great ride and can go fast and can be intense (going backwards and the large drop after the yeti scene). Again Sea Worlds coasters are like typical Six Flags or Busch Gardens coasters where the focus is on speed, heights, inversions, and thrills.

As a side note, all three coasters at Sea World are made by the same manufacturer (B&M) which is considered the Cadillac of the coaster world. Very smooth, very comfortable rides.

Thank you - that helps. Have a feeling we'll be leaving kids at the exit while the adults ride.

Mako is definitely a thrilling ride but is a very rerideable ride,a lot of drops and airtime but nothing really extreme like loops, corkscrews or any type of maneuver that leaves you dizzy or feeling bad afterwards.Manta is not too bad aside from the pretzel loop which delivers a good amount of G's and literally takes your breath away, aside from that maneuver its a fun ride.Kraken is a bit more intense as far as inversions but is not a rough ride by any means, with the new virtual reality version I feel like the ride doesn't feel as intense as you have no idea what's actually going on,you feel the G forces and all but being in your own fake world it just seemed less forceful than just riding it without the goggles.

Everest has the backwards part which is pretty forceful and disorientating but the rest of the ride even the drop are nowhere on the level of the Sea World coasters, like a slightly more intense Big Thunder.I truly feel Mako even though its the largest and fastest of the Sea World coasters is the least intense, its definitely a big boy first drop but aside from that its just a lot of ups and downs.
