Can you drive to the Resaurant...

We'll be checking in at AKL on May 30th. We were wondering on our way to the resort if we could drive into coronado springs and get a bite to eat at pepper mill ... would we have to pay for parking? What is the situation regarding that?

You can do that with no problem. Just tell the guard that you are going to eat. We did that when we needed to go to the gift shop.

You and otheres may know this already, but others may not.

when arriving at the main entrance of your resort , the gaurd has your name on a sheet of people ready to check in that day.

Once checked in, you will get a flyer to place on your dashboard stating what resort you are staying at and when you checked in / and when you will check out.

You can go to any resort you want....the gaurd will look at your flyer on the dashboard and then politely wave, smile, and tell you to have a nice day.

OR you can use your room key by an automatice gate...but not sure if the room key works at other resorts if you are not staying at that particular resort.

Its a nice security feature.

Right... but my issue is we were going to stop at the pepper market ON THE WAY TO CHECKING IN.... does this mean we will have to pay? We don't really want to check in and then travel all the way out again....

You will not have any problems. When you stop at security, tell them you are in for a quick visit (eat, shop, whatever). They will check photo id, and wave you on. We resort hop all the time~ whether we stay onsite or off! Have a great trip!

SonicBlaze, You can do that with no problem. Just tell the guard that you are going to eat . We did that when we needed to go to the gift shop. You won't have a problem trying to eat at CSR. Just relax and it will be OK.

They don't charge to park at the resorts anyway! If you were going to an MK resort you'd have to go through the toll booths, but it shouldn't be an issue for CS.
