Hi guys!! I was wondering if anyone has any disney recipes for dessert. If the recipe is easy that'd be great because it is pretty much for my 15 year old daughter to make. But any would be great , Thnx!!!:earsboy: :earsgirl: princess: princess: princess: :dog2:
 
How about any simple dessert arranged as a "hidden mickey" - cookies, ice cream, pancakes etc.
 
CRISP RICE CEREAL SUSHI
from the California Grill, Contemporary
8 fruit roll-ups
¼ c butter
10 oz miniature marshmallows
6 c Rice Crispies
16 Gummi worms or
24 Swedish fish
Unroll fruit & place plastic down on cutting board. Melt butter; add marshmallows, stirring until melted. Remove from heat; stir in cereal until blended. Spread ~½ cup cereal mixture quickly over each fruit roll, leaving a 1” border on 1 long side. Put 2 worms or 3 fish lengthwise down center. Begin rolling on side w/o border. Press to seal. Cut into 4 slices. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Serve with chopsticks, if desired. Yield: 32 rolls.

TWINKIE TIRAMISU

Espresso Syrup

1/3 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cup strong brewed espresso coffee
1/4 cup Italian or domestic brandy, optional


Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat, cool, and add coffee and optional brandy.

MASCARPONE FILLING

1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 pound mascarpone cheese, softened to room temperature


Whip cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Fold cream into softened mascarpone.

ASSEMBLY

12 Twinkies, sliced 1/2-inch thick
Cocoa powder, lightly dust as garnish


Place a layer of the Twinkie slices in the bottom of a shallow 2-quart baking dish or gratin dish. Drizzle with half of the espresso syrup. Spread with half of the mascarpone filling. Repeat with remaining Twinkie, syrup, and filling. Smooth the top with a metal spatula. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before serving.

Just before serving, sift cocoa to lightly dust the top of the tiramisu.

Makes 8 to 10 servings

Chocolate Coconut Confection Bars
from Yacht & Beach Club

3 cups graham cracker crumbs
2/3 cup butter, melted
½ cup sugar
¾ tsp. ground cinnamon
4½ cups sweetened flaked coconut
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup chopped pecans
2 cans (14 oz EACH) sweetened condensed milk
Red and green jimmies or sprinkles, optional

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line 13" X 9" pan with enough foil to overhang long sides by 2"; coat with cooking spray. Combine crumbs, butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Press onto bottom of pan.

Combine coconut, chips and pecans. Spread evenly over crumb mixture. Pour milk over coconut mixture. If desired, sprinkle with jimmies. Bake 30 minutes or until lightly browned and center is just set. Cool. Using foil, lift from pan.

Oreo Bon Bons
Cape May Cafe


Mousse:
16 oz. heavy cream
6 egg yolks
16 oz. white chocolate
4 sheets or 2 T. powdered gelatin placed in 3 oz. cold water
1 dozen Oreo cookies, crumbled
3 dozen Oreo cookies, whole

Ganache:
16 oz. dark chocolate
16 oz. heavy cream

For the mousse - Melt the chocolate. Whip the cream until consistency of ice cream. Place gelatin in cold water. Heat egg yolks until warm; add chocolate, stirring constantly. Place the gelatin in microwave until gelatin is dissolved. While gelatin is heating, add one third of the heavy cream to the egg yolk and white chocolate mixture; mix well. Add a little of the cream to the heated gelatin and mix well. Then add both the gelatin mixture and the chocolate mixture to the remaining whipped cream and fold until incorporated. Fold in crumbled cookies, mixing well. Let mousse set up, around 2 to 4 hours.

For the ganache - Over light heat, melt the dark chocolate into the cream, mixing until combined.

To serve - Place 3 dozen Oreo cookies on a sheet pan. Pipe mousse onto cookies and dip into ganache.

Strawberry Banana Bread
from the Whispering Canyon Cafe, Wilderness Lodge
2 tsp baking soda
1 c butter
2 c sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp salt
3 c flour
1½ lb strawberries
2 c bananas (~6 medium)
Grease two loaf pans & preheat oven to 325. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter & sugar. Incorporate bananas scraping sides of bowl. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each. Set aside. In another bowl, mix together salt, baking soda & flour. Add flour mixture to butter mixture & stir until blended. Add strawberries (thawed). Bake 60 to 75 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely on a rack before inverting onto a plate.

Banana Bread
from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

Yield: 3 (5”x3”x2”) loaves

1 c butter
1¼ c sugar
2 eggs
2¼ c all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
3 bananas, mashed
½ tsp vanilla extract
2 c buttermilk (posted later with ½ cup)


1. Lightly spray the inside of 3 aluminum loaf pans.

2. In a small mixer bowl fitted with a paddle, cream the butter with sugar. Add the eggs.

3. Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to the butter mixture. Add the bananas, extract, and buttermilk.

4. Pour batter equally into each loaf pan. Bake in a 340 F oven for about 30 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.

Banana Bread Pudding

4 c. milk
19 ozs. sugar (2 cups = 16oz)
4 c. heavy cream
27 ozs. fresh eggs. (abt 13 medium)
1/3 oz. cinnamon (converts to 3 2/3 tsp)
4 ozs. butter (converts to 1/2 cup)
5 bananas sliced
2 lbs. of Croissants, brioche, or challah, sliced

1. Cut day-old specified bread into pieces. Place them in a deep dish pan.
2. Mix custard mix except for butter.
3. Soak the bread pieces with the custard.
4. Slice bananas and incorporate into the pudding.
5. Place butter chunks on top of bread pudding.
6. Bake bread pudding in a hot water bath oven at 275 degrees for about 45 minutes to an hour until an inserted knife comes out clean.
7. Spoon Vanilla Sauce over if preferred. Serves 12.

Vanilla Sauce
24 ozs. heavy cream
1½ c. milk
¼ oz. vanilla
4½ ozs. sugar
1 oz. cornstarch
6 egg yolks

Heat up milk, vanilla, and heavy cream. Dissolve cornstarch with egg yolks. Add sugar. Once liquid boils, temper some of the liquid into the yolks and stir vigorously. Then return tempered yolks into the pot. Turn off the heat and stir continuously until well combined and thickened. Transfer the sauce into a bowl and set over an ice bath to cool.
Make sure you don't use regular bread. Has to be what is specified.
