America's Test Kitchen has posted their turkey taste test online with a downloadable tasting turkey chart (.pdf).

Here's how to determine what size turkey to order:

* A 12-15 pound bird will serve 10-12
* A 15-18 pound bird will serve 14-16
* An 18-22 pound bird will serve 20-22

thanks for posting this report, i found it really helpful, in the last few years i have purchased fresh turkeys and have paid higher prices for them, now im going back to buying the frozen ones
