The man we all "loved to hate" Michael Tata was found dead today in his home..no word on why...

Sad, he was only 33. He is from Buffalo so it was on the news here tonight.

Oh wow! That is so terrible!!

I just caught the American Casino marathon they had on over the weekend!
That management meeting where the supervisor was cursing all the managers and told them they had to work a sixth work day! I

I Tivo'ed all the episodes a few days ago and have been watching them a few at a time.

The news story says police responed to a call and found him dead. Well who called? It didn't say if he was married or had a roommate or anything. That's alittle weird.

So sad.......

I Tivo'd them too...hope they play the rest of the shows on A&E.

On my Las Vegas boards they were just talking about him. Big thread on him there.

What is the address for the LV boards that you are on...I"ve been looking for a good LV board site...TIA!

Oh my! I too watched it during the marathon showing this weekend and actually kinda liked him. This is truly sad news, my thoughts go out to his friends and family.

I did a search of Vegas newspapers and found this item:

Clarifying Friday's item here about the status of "American Casino" on The Discovery Channel, it was misstated when the first season ends. If all 13 episodes run, the reality show set at Green Valley Ranch will air until September.

The 12th and 13th episodes will be shot over the next two weeks. The additional 18 episodes on order are in limbo out of respect to Michael Tata, the resort's director of hotel operations, who was found dead Tuesday at his home in Henderson.

The sixth episode aired Friday.

Station Casinos announced it has established the Michael Tata Scholarship Fund to support students aspiring to work in the hospitality industry.

No news on what happened..I will be on the Vegas boards

As someone who had a "heart attack" at 30, I know that these things can happen without warning and not by taking illegal drugs. Just my opinion.

Here is his obit in our local paper

Those are the wives names. If he had a married sister, the husbands name would be in parenthesis.

Probably inappropriate but I had to giggle at the funeral home name. Amigone? Ummm if you're here you probably are.

Shugardrawers,

It cracked me up too! One of my employees used to tell wives/husbands, "see you soon".
P.S. We're Pathologists.........we do autopsies.
