Sunday, first full day at sea and I am up early watching the almost waveless deep blue water roll by my verandah. Life is good!

Day spend being lazy, pool, reading, eating. DH went to seminar on making of Castaway Cay, which he enjoyed. We also did the Surial Bath, which consists of putting mud on each other, sitting in a steam room for 1/2 hour then rinsing and applying fun creams and lotions. We enjoyed it.

Dinner was Master Chef series at Lumiere's. Food was excellent. Many people in tuxes, most others in dark suits, and we were at early seating.

Concierge sent fruit bowl to cabin. As an aside, no one knew how to work the VCR, we called concierge and guest services, they told us wrong info. Finally called guest services again (this is who you usually get when you call concierge) and they sent up "communications specialist". TV must be on "00" and a separate stereo console under the TV must be on and controls the volume. We laughed because DH used to work at a TV station and could not figure it out! Also, whirlpool spigots reversed, i.e. cold is hot...

Monday, second full day at sea, up early again watching the glass-like water glide by. Breakfast a Lumiere's with some of the kids. Another lazy day, but we did participate in the family olympics (very fun). We lost every race but got 7 points for our cheering enthusiasm. DH and 7ds played in shuffleboard tournament and got in semi-finals!

DH and I enjoyed a couple's massage at the spa. What this means is two massages, two therapists, one room. It was very relaxing. Of course we were talked into two creams, a softening shaving cream for DH and a refreshing cream for me... what the heck, it's vacation.

Return cruisers party was fun. Captain said it was the largest return group ever. All senior officers went from table to table to chat. We met chief purser, who is in charge of concierge, and she was very interested in getting our impressions. Later we talked with the head HR guy, and I asked him if Disney reads these boards and those like them. Every day, he said.

Dinner at Animator's Palate, just went to supervise the kids as we were having dinner at Palo's. Our server, Janet, in her wonderful way, brought out a couple appetizers and a cesear salad, which she already knows I love, just to have some bites! She is so great.
She also recommended that we go to Dawn Beach at St. Martin.

Our dinner at Palo's really fantastic. Setting is very similar to California Grill. Outstanding carpaccio, (a personal favorite) and the chocolate souffle is spectacular.

Room steward left towel animal for us (lobster?) He is good in that he always gets us or does what we ask. Concierge left a plate of dessert goodies, chocolate covered strawberries and brownies, etc..

We are having a great, relaxing, fun time. I have never slept better in my life, I usually have insomnia. Not this trip. I even drink regular coffee, something I can't do at home because it keeps me up!

more to come...
