A Very British PTR -TR to come!

?? Days to go..
giphy.gif

Well I've had a very interesting week indeed! Last Sunday I received a phone call from a manager in a local discounted retail store that I had given my application form back in September. She called to say that I had an interview on Saturday as she thinks my application was impressive! So, Thursday rolls around and it is my birthday and Luke got me a smoothie maker -yummm- So yesterday (Saturday) was my interview, I was so nervous! But after the interview I asked how long it would be before I heard back so she replied with 'well we start people from Monday and you know what Alana? I'm going to give you the job now!' I couldn't believe it. After so many application forms, interviews and what not I finally have a permanent job! This means it is a guaranteed saving each month for WDW! Also what happened yesterday, Luke said a had something coming from America. I had no idea, he pulls out the piece of card with the signature of Mickey and Friends! I couldn't believe it! Here's a picture of it..

So what a week I have had! I begin tomorrow morning at my new job at 9am. Wish me luck!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is super exciting!

Such a sweet gesture with the postcard...awe!

Good luck with this new job!

?? Days to go..

giphy.gif

Well, haven't I been a busy bee! First week of the job and clocked 36 hours and on my second week clocked 23 hours so far and have two days left of work before the working week is over. Needless to say I am so tired! Working in retail, especially around xmas time really makes you knackered. Even then I think that is an understatement.

So speaking of xmas.. I'm hoping to get Luke a Pluto Mug! He adores Pluto! But I have looked on the UK Disney Store and the Tsum Tsum's are ADORABLE. I cannot believe how cute they are. I may have to buy a Pluto one for Luke and probably a Donald as I think he is the cutest out of them all! Or maybe Cinderella..

Anyways,
I really don't know when we are going now. You guys will have to wait till April when I'll have made our decision! I'm really hoping it will be 2017, I really hope we can go. But, there are always things in the way, i.e. Saving for a house, family planning..
If we decide not to go, WDW is still going to be there with some exciting additions to the parks but hopefully we will be with a small addition.

giphy.gif

Wow I'm pretty slack with any updates..

Because of work it would look like we couldn't go for a full two week, it would probably on be 10-12 days, which is better than one week I suppose. I'm trying to work out how to buy tickets because on the UK Disney site you can't buy tickets like that it's only 7, 14, 21 days. I'm thinking about going beginning of May time.. Not too hot and people don't seem to book their holidays in work, but in November everyone books their holidays as that's when the new holiday begins in work unfortunately. Who knows, maybe in the future we can spend Christmas at WDW. But for now as I don't know what is going on...

It'll turn out right in the end, you'll see

giphy.gif

That's right. I've been a bit under the weather for a few weeks now and not feeling much better. I'm going to be getting my tonsils out around two months after our wedding, hooray! I've been thinking about family planning etc etc, but to be honest, what is the rush? Well that is my motto from now on, What's the rush? Ok, so now I've got my head screwed on properly, albeit a little bit sick, I'm getting excited!

So I'll be posting an update with what our plan is going to be - a bit different from our original plan!

Our Plans

A 10 night/ 11 day holiday

Monday September 4th 2017 - Friday September 15th 2017

Where? TBD.

DDP? Yes! I will not pay OOP because I will stress too much.

Any special requests? Luke's birthday is the day after we arrive so hopefully going to surprise him! He loves Pluto, so possibly a character breakfast then a special dinner?

Sounds awesome!!!

I encourage the waiting with family planning. Enjoy yourselves before it is no longer about you guys.

Animal Kingdom Touring Plan

Ok, so at least there isn't a lot of attractions that need to be fastpassed. Day one I think would be quite a full on day, however, day two would be an easier day.

EPCOT Touring Plan

Now what I want to plan is do Future World and World Showcase seperate. I think doing the whole park all at once would be a bad idea for both Luke and I. So definately two days for this park but because we will have park hopper tickets, we won't be restricted visiting. So here we go!

Via Napoli - Dinner
Rose & Crown - Dinner
'Ohana - Dinner
Chef Mickeys - Breakfast
Crystal Palace - Breakfast

FREE DINING
oh my goodness

Well it looks like we will be booking our trip next friday after all! The free dining was a massive deal breaker if it didn't give us the discount we really wanted and it sure paid off!

So do I tell where we will hopefully be staying?

Take a guess..

POP CENTURY!

WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY

As of today there is only 512 days to go

Why Pop Century?

A few hours ago, we were actually planning to stay at Caribbean Beach Resort. We were going to do only 11 nights and 12 days, meaning £2600 excluding flights (add on £1000 for them at that's the total cost really). BUT to stay at Pop Century for a whole two weeks, with the dining plan guess what?! It's the exact same price! So it came down to the decision of do we stay at a moderate resort for 11 nights or do we stay at a value but have an extra 3 nights? It's a no brainer really....

Edit - keep on reading if that's what we actually booked....

How funny! We priced up 2 weeks at Pop with an upgrade to QSDP and 2 weeks at CSR with free QSDP. It was £12 more for CSR... Which for the huge increase of amenities was a no-brainer!

I'm pretty sure we will be sticking to the DDP just because it's our first time and want to do table service but I'm sure the next time we go we will stick with QSDP and probably be booking a moderate. I just had a quick look and for two weeks in CBR with QSDP it's the exact same price as POP but with DDP. Now I really don't know what to do?! Do we just book a handful of table service out of pocket?!!?
