Today is the day for us. 1/2 day of work and we are on the road. Everyone have safe travels and we'll see you Tuesday (if not sooner).

After a logn 14 hour drive, I need a nap, Mary or I will post more later as there was more in the packet.

Well the meet has been and gone. I'll post some pics later on. This was the most successful meet I have had so far, and I thank everyone who participated, except for 1 family EVERYONE who said they'd be there did show up

And I was a little worried. When we got there, the main part of the food court was a madhouse! However, as we're walking around up pops Cherylp3 who has this spot already found. It was next to/kind of behind the escalator. Now you think this might not be so good? Wrong! It was enough off the main area that we had almost no problems with everyone gathering there. The only thing we had to watch is we were next to the elevator for people on the scooters/wheelchairs had to get there "Make a path!!"

Was glad to meet everyone! Hope everyone keeps wearing the buttons I gave out thru the member events, as that is my real goal with a sucessful meet that everyone can still hookup with dis friends throught the rest of the MH. And it's already working, as there were two couples who find out by chatting that they are within a 1/2 mile of each other and never knew it! Cool stuff there. Look for Mary's(wdwvlr) trip reports on the Member Homecoming events on the DVC forum! I'll download and post some pics later on today.

This is Mary (taking back her user name from DH )

It was great getting to meet everyone. We started out meeting lots of DIS'ers at the 10 am Member Update on Tuesday. Yes I'm the one with the big mouth that kept handing out the buttons

Then on to the meet itself. Thank you to everyone who came. It was great to put a face to a name. I hope I got a chance to say Hi to everyone.

The best as always with these events is getting to run in to others the rest of the time. We met up again with a number of people on Tuesday night and had a great time at the party with Gail (#1 Mouse), her DH John, Carol (Scrappy), her DH Joe, Cheryl (CherylP3), her DH Todd. and Erick (Dr. Tomorrow) and his lovely wife (who I'm ashamed to admit I can't remember her name for the life of me at this minute). We also saw a lot of Mary (Iluvdisney) and Karen (KarenNY).

We ran in to Trish (arminnie) and Crystal (LIFERBABE) a number of times. We ran in to Reg (DVCReg) and her DH Gary a couple of times as well. Same with Robin (RRBD) and David (Ohanafamily).

As I said on an earlier thread on the DVC board. We had a great time and Disney does a wonderful job with these events. What make the events special is spending time with friends - both old and new. Member Homecoming was a blast thanks to all of you!

We got home for the Homecoming Sunday evening. It was a very nice event. HOT HOT HOT. Wow, not sure I want to go to Florida in May again.
Thanks to Mark and Mary for all the work they did getting those badges made. The Tuesday get together at The Land was very special.
My only complaint with the DVC homecoming is...I wish they would have had some shirts for us to buy or even better given them to us. It also would have been nice to have name tags with our home town on them. I think it would have been easier to remember names.

We met some very nice people at The Land meeting that live almost in our backyard. (Macungie, Pa.) We looked for them for the rest of the week but did not see them again. If you read this post please contact us. Would love to get together.

The meet was awesome!! It was great to meet everyone and then see them throughout the course of events.

I was solo, but I made some great new friends and never felt alone. It was a big party and I will definitely be at the next one!!

I'm finally back home - what a great time I had - it was a lot of fun to spend time with DVC friends again - can't wait to do it again!!! Eagerly waiting to hear some good news on the next party for us! It was a blast!
