A DLR Guide for WDW Vets

Dude, I hate it, but you hit the nail on the head with this response. I sincerely hope things change, but for now, we've moved on to other vacation options.

I don't know if it's true of all bed bug dogs, but I know a popular breed of bed bug detectors are Jack Russell Terriers. While no dog is truly hypoallergenic, Jack Russell Terriers are considered one of the better breeds for allergy sufferers, due to their non-shedding coat which produces less...

Just for campers, though. Right? I thought the ability to stay in the cabins started the same time they opened some of the other resorts up to dogs.

A DLR Guide for WDW Vets

Sorry to hear about your MIL. My grandpa had alzheimers, it was a tough thing for everyone involved. That said, our last trip to Disney was Disneyland and we loved it. In fact we've started talking about another Disney trip and after talking about both, we're seriously leaning towards a return...

Does anyone know if the $50 per night charge is per dog or is it a flat rate for having the pet(s) in the room? I see that 2 dogs are allowed per room, I'm just trying to budget whether we'd be looking at $50 versus $100 per night.

June 2017 Trip Report – WDW vets reflect on their first DLR trip

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed our TR. I'm sure you'll love the Grand Californian. The BW will be a step down, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Have a great trip!

June 2017 Trip Report – WDW vets reflect on their first DLR trip

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the report. We don't have a specific plan for our next trip, yet. We do quite a bit of travel, seeing our kids. In fact we're on our way back from Vegas again as I'm typing this, after visiting our daughter and her fiancee for...

Trip Report - 16 Days in Hawaii - Maui, Oahu, and Aulani!

Thanks again. We'll certainly check them out. My cruise experience was years ago, when our family went and I was a teenager. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just not what I tend to like in a vacation. I like to go new places and see new things. The cruise to me seemed like sitting at the...

Trip Report - 16 Days in Hawaii - Maui, Oahu, and Aulani!

I really enjoyed your trip report. We've done 2 trips to Hawaii, one where we spent a week on Oahu, then one where we were on Oahu for 4 days, then on the big island for a week. We've been getting the itch to go back and have considered Maui as our "next island", so the Maui portion of your...

    Walk In Walt's Footsteps-Walt's apartment?

We did not and did not notice anyone else tipping.

    Walk In Walt's Footsteps-Walt's apartment?

I was told, when I called to place our order, that there were no refunds.

    Star wars land acreage confusion?

To me, a more fair comparison would be Cars Land at 12 acres, 3 rides and 3 restaurants. IMHO the work done to put you in Radiator Springs was one of my favorite parts of any Disney park. If Galaxy's Edge comes anywhere close to that level of immersion it'll be phenomenal. To me 14 acres of New...

    Touring Plans subscription?

We got a RideMax subscription (the 3 month one) before our trip in June. It was our first trip to DLR, so we thought it might help us at least navigate until we got the lay of the land. We didn't end up using it at all in the parks. I'm not saying it's good or bad, we just ended up figuring...

    Walk In Walt's Footsteps-Walt's apartment?

Our receipt for the tour (from June 28) shows $436 total, for four of us. That's $109 even for each of us. I see the note you're referencing regarding tax, so I don't know if that's off on the website or something that has changed. I know when we called to book the tour, they were very clear on...

Is there a "best place to get a churro" at DLR

At no point during a Disney trip have I ever considered a trip to a local discount warehouse. If that's your thing, though, I won't judge. :)

Is there a "best place to get a churro" at DLR

Yes, because you're at Disneyland. At least that's how I feel about it. :D

June 2017 Trip Report – WDW vets reflect on their first DLR trip

We planned for June both because that's when my wife is out of school and because we wanted to minimize closed attractions, during the peak months. We were prepared for the crowds to be bad, but it really wasn't bad at all. I honestly don't know if that's because we were expecting the worst...

June 2017 Trip Report – WDW vets reflect on their first DLR trip

The coin I carry every day is one I got for all 4 of us, when my daughter graduated basic. It's kind of a general service coin I wanted all four of us to have. It's funny, the whole coin thing wasn't what it is now when I was in the Air Force. My kids have them and have gotten them through their...
