    Early Morning Magic tip

Early Morning Magic is wonderful!!!! At first, I thought it was a little frivolous, but the time that you save and the food that you get, makes this "event" more valuable than a PPO character breakfast. During the hour, my family (DH, DS7 and DD4) managed to ride 7DMT probably about 8 times...

Jambo! The newest AKL Information thread

I just returned from an 8 day stay at Jambo House -- this was our fourth Disney vacation -- prior, we have stayed off-property, POFQ and Polynesian. I honestly have to say that I wasn't crazy about this resort. Yes, it's beautiful but there were a bunch of little things that were wrong and it...

    Price changes?

I just called WDW and noted the price difference.... i wound up saving $1200!!!! They were very accommodating! We initially booked in January (for a week at the very beginning of August) at $6800 for 8 nights at AKL with 5 day park hopper plus memory maker. Now that they've posted summer...

    Price changes?

If I bought a vacation package a year prior to my scheduled vacation, and if Disney puts on a deal for the exact time of my vacation, will those changes be reflected towards me? Or do I have to call WDW to ask?? I can't seem to find an actual receipt with the price breakdown of my vacation (not...

Lunch with an imagineer: Review of solo traveller

I'm 38yrs old and did a solo trip a few months ago to WDW and had the time of my life! I walked about 51 miles in just over 4 days -- I was at rope drop at most places, park hopped and finished most nights off with Wishes and then headed over to Disney Springs for some people watching. I...

Take my Apple a Watch to WDW?

I took mine and had no problems whatsoever. The useful part was seeing how many steps/miles i was walking! Over 4 days in the parks, i walked 52 miles.... It was insane! I never would have imagined!

Cost of Dining with an Imagineer?

I did it may 11th and paid about $80 after tip. We got a commemorative plate, name tag and menu. We had corn chowder, Cobb salad, grouper/lobster tail and a three part dessert. We were done at 2pm... A little bit long, but it was very interesting.

    Keeping Younger Kids Up Late

Have you considered staying at one of the Deluxe resorts with a park view room? Our kids (5 and 3) LOVED being able to watch the fireworks from the balcony in their pajamas. A few days we were at rope drop and hung out for as long as we could....then we'd have a LATE long afternoon nap...

Dining solo...hard to figure out what I want

I just dined solo at Jiko's.....it was awesome. I was worried about the transportation, but it was a 15minute bus ride from any of the parks! Well worth it and such a unique experience! The food is amazing....stuff that you don't see very often. I wound up cancelling a lot of the ADRs I...

    Solo trip dining suggestions

My new favorite is Jiko's! If you request to sit at the "Cooking Place", you get to see the chefs prepping appetizers and you might even get to taste a few things. Great conversation and a very unique dining experience! And the food is great too! I was seated right when they opened, so it...

Tell me about pin trading at the resorts

I just got back from 5 days at Disney -- I was searching for pins on this trip... I'm sort of new to it, but I promised my son that I would look for Chip n' Dale pins for him, and my daughter is into the Little Mermaid. I bought a 30lot from eBay and used those to trade!!! Here is a list of...

What is your Disney shameful secret?

My shameful secret is that I didn't like a bunch of the rides -- they were all the same.... I would wait all day for my fast pass, run to the front of the line only to be disappointed when I saw this conveyor belt of "shells" hauling people off to the kingdom of snore land --- for example...

    Lactose free milk?

We just ordered groceries from garden grocer and got a quart to keep in the room. When we were in restaurants, we just ordered juice or water. (Our 3yr old is also lactose intolerant).

DME -- getting to airport early

Not sure how to search for this particular question: I have a departure out of MCO at 1:50pm on May 15th. I have an old college friend who is departing MCO at 1pm (she's coming from a conference and we just happen to be leaving on the same day). If we wanted to meet at the airport for lunch...

Child ID bracelets, temporary tattoos, etc.

you could write your cell phone number on her magic band. Look up the fitbit belt --- it's a little plastic slider that secures the two ends together once clasped. It's meant for the fitbit flex, but people use it for magic bands too. But at the same time, you could probably secure the two...

    fultons crab house

We ate there at the end of February. We weren't on the dining plan. I was really looking forward to it, but the food wasn't outstanding. It was wasn't the best meal we've ever had, but it was better than most. I had the crab cake dinner and it was very good. Better than most. And yes...

To skip or not to skip... Hollywood Studios with a toddler

There was plenty to do at HS with our 4yr old and 2yr old. They loved the Frozen Sing-along, Toy Story (neither of them saw it, but really liked shooting at things), Beauty and the Beast, Disney Jr, meeting characters (especially CharacterPalooza at 230 by the Tower of Terror -- they were...

My Toddler Hates Riding in a Stroller - Help!

I bet that even after 1 or 2 hours of non-stop walking, crowds and the heat, your little one will be happy to get in that stroller! Our 4yr old son hadn't been in a stroller in about a year, but within the first hour, he was happy to hop in..... and by the third day, we couldn't coax him OUT of...
