From this thread (and my practicing), it still seems like boarding group join method is the "touring plan" to data/wifi speed's "best park". Both are important, but join method is more important than speed.

I did have an update available, so that is probably at least part of it. I will certainly check that on my park day. My practicing has been trying to see if I can be successful with "no help" (not rebooting or closing programs). I mostly have been.

New practice issue that I have seen twice now. After hitting the second join, my screen freezes up on the party screen. I quickly go back and reclick the 2nd join. Then the party screen populates. I have still been able to have a successful practice. I am hoping it is a data issue that will go...

Had my first unsuccessful practice this morning (not counting the day that switched to having to select all). I was out walking so I am chalking this up to bad data. 13 days left to practice!

Our quick trip ends with a flight on 8/11. Only full park day is the 9th, followed by relaxing with an early lunch at Trex and early dinner at narcooses before heading over for opening night.

Thanks. I always use time.gov, but I was just testing the "early" join suggested earlier. I think they must have not been using time.gov.

I tried the 6:59:58 method someone mentioned previously for clicking the first join. This did NOT work. But I was still able to do a quick refresh, join, select all, join for another successful practice. I will wait until 7:00:00 going forward unless I see a change here.

If you are late enough, you won't even get to the last join.

I wasn't selected at 7:00 and did not have a successful practice. Same just happened, but I knew to click on my name and then click join. Was successful. Glitch? Or cutting down on practicing?

I was concerned with the speed test stuff saying you needed 50 mbps and I was getting less than 5 on data and wifi. Still, I have been 100% when practicing with time.gov and "join, join, join". I think this is similar to a good plan being better than picking the right park to minimize waits...
