    Cell Phone - short term

For Jethro Mobile, does it require any pre-registration / online form filling? Also, does anyone know if their service would work in Hawaii? Thanks.

What the ? …….Cellphones (data, texting, calls [both local and back to Canada] while in Florida for 20 days) …esp RE Bell cell!

This link has the FAQ and detailed instructions on how to get free data and some voice services in USA. You need to be somewhat techy with how to set up phones and even VPN's. But if you are successful, then you save a few hundred dollars on roaming charges for a family (two phones from parents...

Discounted MBs No Longer Offered to Canadians?

Those bands run on batteries like watches. They will stop working after a few years. It would be a pain to get locked out of your room in the middle of night coming back from a long day of park. Then you have go walk 20 minutes back to the front lobby like Saratoga just to get a replacement.

Yes. The Freedom Mobile plan is an option. You actually don't need to sign up with anyone... You can visit any Freedom Mobile kiosk at your local mall and get a SIM. You can roam with that plan for about $50 per month. https://shop.freedommobile.ca/en-CA/plans There is a better option FREE...

Round Trip Pricing out of YYZ to MCO

Some people would advise you to fly out of Buffalo Niagara instead of Toronto as Southwest usually costs 20-30% cheaper than Air Canada. That is usually a good idea... until this past Christmas holiday. Buffalo was in a mess due to snowstorm. Southwest melted down by cancelling nearly 17,000...

    Flying out of Pearson

We used MPC app and shorter line at Pearson for our 7:30am flight during this past Christmas holiday. We got there at 5:00am and arrived the gate at 6:00am... we napped at the gate for another hour before boarding.

Buying Disney Gift Cards in Canada

Is there foreign exchange surcharge like the credit cards? Also, can we pay DVC dues with these Canadian cards?

Genie+ $29 per day but most major rides filled so beware

I am the OP. Thank you for all the replies and discussions. I would like to supplement some info. I have young children. I used hotel WIFI for internet, which was very unreliable at my Disney Resort. We stayed onsite with early morning access and bus transportation. It is true some major rides...

Park reservation problems strike again- the system needs to go

Unfortunately, DVC dues have gone from about $7 per point to about $10 per point. That is about 50% increase in the last few years. :crazy2:

Genie+ $29 per day but most major rides filled so beware

$29 for G+, another $29 for ILL, and third one for another $29, you spent $100 per person just on passes. Then the park ticket is $180 for park ticket, so a grand total of almost $200 per person. If you have a family of 5, you need $1000 per day just on the tickets and passes alone. I think...

    Grocery delivery to Disney resort

I just came back. I would recommend Amazon Fresh. Garden Grocer gives 25% if you order ahead... so this shows their margin mark-up. They can afford to give you 25% off! Also, this means you are paying "full rack rate" if you buy last minute, almost like an airlines ticket. You will see what I...

What Does Pin Trading Look Like Today?

I did not see anyone doing it in a recent trip. The trading area is EPCOT is gone. No cast member at monorail station wears them anymore. I am sure if you ask / look for them, they are still around but they are not everywhere like before.

Genie+ $29 per day but most major rides filled so beware

This is my experience for Christmas 2022 travel. I got up at 6:30am and paid for Genie+. It costs $29 per guest per day so be prepared to spend extra $100 per day if you have a large family. Even with the pass, I was not able to find any availability for major rides such as Ratatouille, Frozen...

Park reservation problems strike again- the system needs to go

I just got back too. I had a complete different experience. Even with "park reservation", all parks are over crowded. All the common rides have 120+ wait time. Even with Genius+ $29, there is NO availability for major rides if you try to book after 9am. For example, I could not get Ratatouille...

Have Ontario schools changed the 2022-2023 holiday calendar?

I must have missed it... As a DVC user, I have to book at 7th to 11th months. It is quite frustrating to see all the advanced planning falling apart. Oh well, it's too late for me to rebook / adjust my Christmas trip now anyway. I need to be more careful next winter.

Have Ontario schools changed the 2022-2023 holiday calendar?

I had to book flight and DVC resort booking 7 months ahead to save... so I booked the Christmas trip 2022 back in May. I am sure I checked the schedule back then. Today... someone at work said, by the way, why do you start your vacation so early? You know the classes for kids end on Dec 24 (ie...

    Price increases at WDW

With a $10,000 - 20,000 per family of four, Disney has become an elite's destination. With that amount of money, you can go to all inclusive Cuba for the same amount of time, with money left over. I guess... it's more like Barbados. It will be mostly once in a lifetime type of trip for many...

Is this true about buying park tickets

She will be very surprised. Yes. Disney has decided to sell the same park 3 TIMES... once in morning, they disguise it as "Early Morning Magic" at $89, then mid-day as regular admission at $100, then evening as "Party"... Isn't that clever marketing? They get to sell the same park admission...

Driving experience between Toronto and Orlando

We have decided to make a last minute trip to Disney and did not want to spend $3000 to buy the air travel tickets. It was not easy.... let me share some experience for the first time drivers. 1. Timing: If you are going to visit Orlando theme parks, you most likely have small children. You...

Rogers Plans - no more roaming

I just completed a trip... I have Virgin Plus (ie, Bell). Their roam like home package is $12. They promise you that you can use the same package quota for your data and call limits. There is a catch.... they throttle you (slow you down to 512 kps only) once you reach 1GB per day... So it's...
