Am I the only one who thinks Genie+ is not worth it?

This is how we felt coming away from our trip. We were there 3 days in December and got G+ for 2 of them. We would have enjoyed it more if they had coded it number of uses instead of 1 use per ride. We didn't get hoppers and were actually bored on our California Adventure day. We used our G+...

Europe cruises/travel summer 2020 -Anyone else thinking of cancelling??

We LOVE NCL! I waited and waited for their British Isles itineraries to be released last year but, unfortunately, they only has September dates. We're sailing with our 13 year old, so we needed summer. We've been on 4 NCL cruises and have always had a great time.

Europe cruises/travel summer 2020 -Anyone else thinking of cancelling??

RCL did great and NCL did even better. I'm really hoping Princess comes around and updates their update. We're sailing in June and they changed the PIF from 90 days to 60 days. Looks like nothing compared with NCL and RCL!

Coronavirus and DCL Megathread - Suspension of Departures for the fleet until early November. Booking only available from early December.

I was just reading about it on the Princess boards. They are asking people who were on that cruise and are feeling ill to immediately contact their doctor. They sent a letter to the people who are onboard now that were also on that sailing asking them to remain in their rooms until medical has...

Coronavirus and DCL Megathread - Suspension of Departures for the fleet until early November. Booking only available from early December.

My son and I are supposed to fly to Tampa on Thursday to visit my parents and my grandmother (who is in an assisted living place). I've been going back and forth about whether or not we should cancel for days now. I've had open heart surgery to correct a defect, have a small right lung, and...

Europe cruises/travel summer 2020 -Anyone else thinking of cancelling??

Have you taken a look at their cancellation schedule? Our final payment is due 3/11 for our June British Isles cruise so I was stressing a little about what we should do. I checked this morning and if we cancel in days 89-57 before the cruise, we would only lose our deposit of $200. So I'm...

Europe cruises/travel summer 2020 -Anyone else thinking of cancelling??

Thanks for the link. That's a pretty disturbing study. I've had open heart surgery to correct a congenital defect and one of my lungs is smaller than the other. I'm generally healthy and don't get sick often, but I'm worried. We're on Princess out of Southampton in June. We're doing the...

    9 night Ultimate Norwegian Fjords

You should be able to select a refundable deposit after you put in the passenger names during booking. It's really annoying that they put the option so far into the process. I just took a look at your cruise and it's $379 more for the refundable deposit. We did the fjords on NCL and it was...

    Swimming with pigs

You can have your own camera on the observation deck, which is pretty far away from where you feed them. But they are wandering around and you can photograph them from the deck. No cameras in on the beach or in the water though.

    Swimming with pigs

Oh no! I think they're really missing out by not having someone taking pictures all the time. We were lucky enough to get a picture of our family holding one of the pigs though. The guy said it was something they were trying - the pig holding. They did it up on the deck and we had another...

    Swimming with pigs

We were at CocoCay on the first day of our cruise. We checked a couple of days after we got home and they were there. I thought it said it could be up to 2 weeks, but I don't remember. We didn't end up buying the one they took of our family. The pigs were facing away from the camera. I...

    Haiti

We got a bungalow when we were there last October. We were a party of 6 so I didn't think the price was too bad. We really liked the location and the water there. We also did the Dragon Coaster which was a lot of fun. We got a full day pass for that. Thankfully we rode it a couple of times...

    Royal compared to Disney?

Oh bummer! I think we had our cards in the bag in the locker so we didn't run into any problems. We also only used the park in the morning since we had an afternoon excursion booked. There are actually 2 Snack Shacks on the island. Caused us a lot of confusion since we told my parents to...

    Royal compared to Disney?

Oh, that makes more sense. They weren't offered on our sailing so we got the full day.

    Royal compared to Disney?

My guess is they quickly realized the logistics of a half day pass were a nightmare. They have an entrance to the water park where you scan your sea pass to get in. They have no means of checking people throughout the day to kick you out if you only have a half day pass. They don't check you...

    Royal compared to Disney?

We didn't look very hard. :) We did the water slides in the morning and then swam with the pigs at 1pm so we were a little rushed around lunch. I would love to go back and see what else we missed :)

    Royal compared to Disney?

:) I don't know. We saw people with soft serve ice cream cones, but I think they were near the main food places. The funnel cakes were in the "snack shack". We took the advice of some on Cruise Critic and got the chicken sandwich and mozzarella sticks to make a chicken parm sandwich. It was...

    Royal compared to Disney?

Yes, ours was. I watched the prices for months and that was the best I saw. It was $94.99 in the planner before we sailed but then listed as $84.99 onboard. I've seen people say they got it for $47. Royal's pricing for excursions and beverage packages is really annoying. It seems to change...

    Royal compared to Disney?

We just got back from our Harmony cruise. We LOVED CocoCay as well. The kid had an absolute blast on the water slides and in the wave pool. Best $55 (per person) we've spent! Oh, and the food was awesome! Mozzarella sticks and funnel cakes!
