14 day ultimate ticket to AP

We upgraded last year, cost us about $350ish as Wayne has said but we had a platinum plus pass. But we’ll get 3 trips out it. IMO I think if it’s just one of you upgrading you might break even with parking and discounts if you upgrade on day 1. You’ll need to pay parking first day unless you...

    Indirect Flights

We flew indirect in August this year with a 5 and a 2 year old, 3 suitcases, 2 car seats, 4 pieces of hand luggage and a double buggy! You have to pick up your luggage in your first landing point in the US, clear customs and immigration and then there was a connection lane where we dropped our...

    Flight craziness August 2018

I had a great deal like that for last year too. I've booked a BA fly Drive from MAN to MIA via LHR for next August, £2029 for 2a 2c with a 7 seater mini van. I think it's worked out about £150 more than this year when I factor in an overnight in Miami which I'm happy with as we have a bigger car.

    Car hire

Wow! Have you tried Skyscanner/Kayak for comparisons? Car hire seems to have jumped up in price loads the past few years. I remember paying about £300 for a top car for three weeks in 2013!

    Car hire

I just booked with BA for 10 days in Dec £270 for a SUV, as an Exec Club member you get a couple of days free and an additional driver. I couldn't beat it despite looking all over!

    diy trip advice

We did similar this year. Flew to Tampa and had five nights before our Disney stay. We considered Tampa area, Clearwater etc for a couple of nights before moving to Orlando but as our kids are young (5 & 2) we felt it was better for us not to move hotels too much. We had a lovely few days...

    Tampa airport

Good for you, I think you'll like it. We are flying into Orlando in December and I'm dreading it, especially as there's some construction there currently that I'm not sure when its complete. I'm already looking into alternative airports for next summer!

    Tampa airport

We flew into and out of Tampa just last week. I'd agree with everything above. So quick compared to Orlando and none of that faffing about on entry with collecting and dropping bags. We'd do it again in a heartbeat, in fact on return there were loads of brits on our connecting flight

    Travelling with an infant

I disagree with the above. We took my DD to LA and Disneyland when she was 10m old along with her then 3 year old brother. We had a brilliant time, stayed in a hotel, went to to the parks and did other things ever hiking and beach trips it was lots of fun. Yes there's work involved like washing...

    Flights August 2018

You'll definitely get bargains if your willing to fly indirect. We paid just a little less than £1150 for 2a, 2c for 15th August to 2nd Sept. MAN-PHL-MCO, no long layovers either. I booked in October last year. Also consider flying into Tampa as that can work out cheaper. BA had some really...

    Getting Married at Disney....eeek

Hi, I had an Escape Wedding at the Wedding Pavillion. It was 7 years ago mind! We had an initial call and entered our preferred date and time about 12 months out, at this point we dealt with a consultant got it confirmed at 10 months, when we got assigned a planner. All our planning was done...

    Ultimate Ticket Upgrade to AP

I'm sure this has been asked before but can't see it recently. Does anyone have any recent experience of upgrading an ultimate to annual pass? We have a trip in POFQ with upgraded dining in August and have just booked another trip for December, if we could upgrade we'd also do another trip...

Flying with toddlers - do you use a child seat?

I've never done car seats for mine. He's flown a lot. To be honest I think they'd complain if I tried to get them in the car seat and would distract from the thrill of flying on the plane!

    Car Hire Excess Insurance

I've hired loads of cars in the US, even had been involved in a couple of accidents but never paid an excess. Now I'm hiring a car in France over the summer, that had a huge €1500 excess! I've never hired in Europe before so took the excess waiver insurance. So I wonder if this a European thing?
