    Favorite lounges to eat in

Like other posters mentioned, Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom is amazing for both food and drinks. I also really like Wine Bar George in Disney Springs. Relatively easy to walk in and have some small plates and reasonably priced wine that is difficult to find elsewhere.

If you could sit down anywhere in WDW right now and have one drink, where would it be and what drink would you have?

Champagne, plus the tea and all the fixin's at the Garden View Tea lounge. It would be so relaxing right now...

If Disney re-opened today what's the first thing you'd eat there?

If I were to go right now, I'd run to the Citrus Blossom booth at Epcot's Flower and Garden and get some of the tuna tataki and the orange wine slushy. So good! But since we probably won't be going for a while, my second choice would be Nomad Lounge for a nice cocktail and some small plates...

    WDW's 50th Celebration…Who's going??

We're probably going sometime in mid-May 2021, depending on the crowds and openings of the attractions. We're trying to balance having most of the new attractions open while not having as much of the crowds. It seems like Cosmic Rewind and Tron SHOULD be open by then, but we'll certainly know...

Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

Do the rooms have a fridge with a freezer compartment? Alternatively, can you turn up the fridges so that they can be made to freeze items?

    HHN holding area help!!!

This is our first HHN as well. If we are in Diagon Alley before 5pm (which may be a holding area again like last year), will people go around ushering you out of the park when 5pm hits? If there is a holding area there, will it be obvious? Can we then go to Finnegan's if we ask someone and...

    2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

I'm personally really excited about the "Domaine Sigalas Assyrtiko, Santorini" at the Greece booth. Not sure what vintage it is, but the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) thinks it is a top tier wine in the word, and definitely one of the best wines from Greece. Some of the ones others...

Got to do Mission Space today

Just watched Gina Torres' version as well. While I will miss Gary Sinise's version, I enjoyed her version as well and I liked her refreshing attitude. I think it's a nice touch and it's pretty much comparable.

    HHN 27 Thread

Also debating the one or two night debate, with one night with express pass. Plus, the second night for us would be a Saturday (which are known to be more crowded), which is giving me pause too. Just never having been to HHN, all the research I imagine still cannot prepare you for the exact...

Do you ever hold off telling others about your love of Disney

I definitely hold things back, mostly from my colleagues. My close friends and family know and are all okay with it - probably why they are friends, right? I went a few times with my family when I was a kid, which is why it's nostalgic for me, but I remember each trip being really stressful...

Is there one TS restaurant you have to go to on every trip?

The only thing we've done every time is afternoon tea in the Garden view tea room. We have other favorites as well, but we like to try new restaurants too. Tea has become a nice afternoon tradition and cool break from the parks.

What food is on everyone's top 10 list that you just hate?

I've never done it at WDW (I assume it'd just be typical popcorn?), but it's a sensation at Tokyo Disneyland/Disneysea. If you ever go there, they have so many flavors and people line up for it... you'll have to try it there if you go! Maybe there you won't be one and done?

Park commandos who visit Disney frequently, do you ever get burned out?

I would say we're "half commandos" so we don't get burnt out. We always hit rope drop, and run around as fast as possible to get done all the rides (including FP+) that we need to get done before the crowds get too bad. We avoid EMH days, even when staying on-site (we generally don't have...

    September 2017 Planning

We're booked for 9/16 to 9/22 at the Swan, our first time at F&W! We then go to Universal at the Loews Royal Pacific from 9/22 to 9/24, hopefully for HHN. We are very excited to try so many new things this trip!

What food is on everyone's top 10 list that you just hate?

Add in my vote for the grapefruit cake (and I like grapefruit!) and turkey legs (again, tasted like a gross ham)!

    California Grill worth it?

I'm with LSLS and goofyintoronto. California Grill was once my husband and my favorite restaurant on Disney property. However, we went back since the refurb and the food was just ok and we had bad service as well! I was really disappointed. I do think it was cause the waiter (and maybe...

    BOG Breakfast Mess

Assuming the park opens at 9am, they will let everyone with a reservation prior to 9am in the park at 7:45am. So yes, make sure you get there by 7:30am to get in the left-most line and check-in with the CM with the clipboard.
