Trying to decide which month is better

Either will be temperature of the sun. The later in July the greater the chance (some) schools will be back in session. If you haven't visited in July or August, the heat CANNOT be overstated.

AOA Suites vs AKL Savannah View - Thoughts

I've had 3 stays at AKL and each time I have also been shocked by the noise. Give me top floor room at the values any day.

    Security Lines in the Parks

I am also an AP holder (20+ years) from out of state. My experience with WDW security seems to be extremes: really nice and polite, indifferent and slightly annoyed, or downright cross and belittling. I carry a string wallet. and I have been told: Take it off Don't take it off Unzip and open it...

    Security Lines in the Parks

Go to Universal! Their security people are SO NICE and the lines move FAST. I got so tired of being yelled at by WDW security.

    WWYD?

IF you utilize SINGLE RIDER LINES you will find the wait times drastically reduced even during peak crowds! BF and I used them in July and we never waited more than 15 minutes for anything--seriously.

    First Time Help

I'll agree about the AP! PLus you get discounts! Take your time and plan for midday breaks to swim at resort or rest in the a/c. Everyone will be much nicer if you do--trust me.

    Universal's Aventura Resort

I am just back from there and we LOVED it! First time staying there after Dockside, Surfside and Cabana Bay. AMAZINGLY quiet, no lines, great food court. Super pools. FAST walk to Volcano bay

    Volcano Bay and STAIRS

Made first trip to Volcano Bay earlier this year - only did one raft ride. Do ALL the raft rides require STAIRS???? My knees were not a fan and my BF freaks out at heights <eye roll>. We enjoyed the non raft stuff so we're not irked or anything, just thought I'd ask if there were any elevators...

Give me your top 3 tips

SINGLE RIDER LINE!!!! Many attractions have it and it so decreases the wait times! This past week and a trip 3 months ago BF and I waited less than 10 minutes for anything other than Hagrid's and most were walk ons! Last week I waited ONLY for Hagrids- literally EVERYTHING else was walk up and...

Universal newbie and I need help!

HI! In 2022 I dropped my WDW AP for the first time in 20+ years and switched to Universal. The NICE thing about Universal is that you don't have to plan out every moment like you do at WDW. Bus service is MUCH faster and with MINIMAL waits for buses. The parks will be crowded but unlike WDW...

Just booked Christmas at Universal instead of Disney

I also jumped ship this year!!! You are going to LOVE how EASY it is to get dining reservations on universal app and that you can get them the same day!

Help a newbie rate ride intensity

The "true" roller coasters at UO (not simulators or a hybrid) are MUCH more intense than anything at WDW/ Flight of Hippogriff and Hagrids are the exceptions. I can ride anything at WDW multiple times wo issue and enjoy them. The G forces at UO are MUCH more intense and all the coasters have...

Best Method for MCO to UOR + UOR to WDW?

Taxis are MUCH more expensive in my experience. Near airport to All Stars $60 w/o tip. Lyft was $32. Lyft to UO was ~$20.

    1st timer

Welcome to UO! I'm a newbie there as well- so far 2 trips this year. BIG differences from WDW ADR! First of all, it's not impossible to get! MOST places also have bar seating and those can be walk up, especially if not at peak times. Only had time thus far that we couldn't get in just walking up...
