Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

I got my 2nd dose of Pfizer yesterday and am home sick from work today. No fever, but off and on chills and entire body ache. General malaise.

On a lighter note. anyone else really missing their hairdresser by now?

My last haircut was early January— my hair is longish so can be okay for a while, but the layers are starting to look not great. I might just be wearing ponytails for the time being! I highlight my own hair, not many greys yet at 45, so I should be okay with color... for now.

When do you think grocery shopping will have a sense of normalcy again?

I went to Publix today and the store was practically empty. Many shoppers were wearing masks. They had a lot of chicken and pork, not much ground beef. No pasta, frozen veggies, or TP/paper towels. they also didn’t have any disinfecting wipes for the carts, but someone was wiping them down with...

When do you think grocery shopping will have a sense of normalcy again?

Was able to find TP and ground beef at Kroger today, so maybe thIngs are calming down a bit here (ATL).

When do you think grocery shopping will have a sense of normalcy again?

i went to Publix this afternoon (last went on Friday) and there’s still no TP, soap, or fresh meat. (A few $30 roasts but that’s it.). Lots of lunch meat but even bacon, hot dogs, and canned fish were gone. I think we’re good for meals for almost two weeks, toilet paper maybe close to that. But...

Shutdown or Lockdown in your area?

I am in Atlanta. No lockdown here yet, but I’m supposed to move to an apartment in two weeks and I’m really worried that might not be able to happen! Would a move be impacted do you think? In the meantime, I’m now working from home alongside my newly Ex-Husband (finalized last week.) I don’t...

    Pop-up ads

I'm getting the You Won pop ups too. I look at Dis exclusively on my iPad, and so because of these pop ups, I haven't been able to come here or post here in a while. I too am tired of having to clear my history and reset all of my passwords every time I get a pop up on this site. Surely...

    can't find cat??

Cats are weird creatures. We have three, and they all go through what I call “kitty phases” every so often. Like, just randomly one will find a new and often obscure hiding/sleeping place, and they become obsessed with it for a week or two and then one day they just randomly seem to forget all...

    Buffet but NO characters

It kinda depends on what you’re looking for. I love Cape May dinner for seafood, and I love Trails End for comfort food. Biergarten and Boma are both excellent choices for both familiar food and more “exotic” options.

Need to vent on 'Ohana experience

We also experienced the rushed service when we were at Ohana in March (we go every trip, every year, and have never had this problem before.) Apps came out within minutes of sitting down, and skewers started coming out just minutes after the apps. They also wouldn’t give us any meat without us...

    Connecting rooms

We have had pretty good luck with getting connecting rooms at Pop for our family of 4 adults. There have only been a few times the request wasn’t honored (out of many stays).

    Am I Being Too Ambitious?

This was the only thing that stood out to me as well. A late morning Epcot plus leaving after lunch won’t give you enough time there to make it worth your while. Epcot is really a 2 day park if you want to see it all— you can’t do much in half a day. I do like all the “down time” you’ve...

Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Totally agree! Pop has been our “usual” resort since it opened, and I love it. We just returned from an 8 night stay, and there is SO much storage space now after the renovations. We didn’t even use it all (just two of us). The food court has taken a turn for the worse over the years, but...

    Worst Things About Hollywood Studios?

I suppose this is true. Beauty and the Beast was closed when we were there... and I’ve seen the other shows SO many times that I’m just not super enthusiastic about them anymore. For a first time visitor, those are definitely good options, though.

    Worst Things About Hollywood Studios?

I agree with almost everyone that theming is a big problem now. What, exactly, is this park supposed to be about? And there is literally NOTHING to do here for adults who can’t (or don’t want to) ride thrill rides. Not much else to do for anyone else either. When we were there in early March...

Best Beach you've ever been to?

I dislike crowded beaches; if I’m going to the beach, I want a quiet, pretty view. Favorites are Cumberland Island, GA (doesn’t get more secluded and beautiful than that) and Mexico Beach, Florida— I’m really hoping it rebuilds after Hurricane Michael. Was NOT a fan of Waikiki. The beach is...

How bad is TSMM at rope drop?

We did TSMM at rope drop a few weeks ago. Yes, we had to shuffle in with the large crowd headed to Slinky Dog, but once there, TSMM wait was only 5 minutes. You do need to get to the studios pretty early, though, to avoid being in the back of the pack. We got there at around 8 for a 9am opening.

    Ohana dinner question

Every time we go, it seems like everyone at all tables around us receives leis, but we never do. I always wondered if it’s because we don’t have kids in our party, but maybe it’s more random than that.

Was the original game room and food "court" in the Contemporary in the basement?

The old Contemporary arcade (Fiesta Fun Center) was the best! It was huge and even had a shooting gallery at one point and a movie theater in the back. I spent many hours of my childhood in this spot. Sadly, there’s not an arcade at all at the Contemporary anymore. When we were there a few...
