PTR- will be a TRIP Report- RPR Sept 24 - 28, 2018

Hello Cindy . Late to the trip report start, but enjoying reading your pre-trip report.

Congratulations on your weight loss.

Your sandals look comfy.

Like pattyw I carry bandaids. I always carry the big bandaids to cover a couple of areas on my feet that are blister prone. I just put them on ahead of time to protect those areas as I have not found any shoes that will prevent them.

The grandchildren and I are Harry Potter fans. We have seen all the movies. You will be blown away by Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade.

I often point people to the sticky created by ruthies12 ”Wizarding World Touring Plans and Details” she has a lot of great details to look for and do in the 2 Potter Parks.

The count down is always fun. Oh and shopping for clothes for vacation is a must. You should be able to get great sales right now on summer clothes for Florida. I was in some stores a few days ago and they were all marking down swim suits, shorts and summer tops etc....

Any questions you have about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter or anything else just ask and someone will jump in and help. We all want to make sure you have the best trip ever.

Wouldn't socks and sneakers work better for walking around a park? I have sketchers with soles that have gel in the heel. Even then my heel is hurting by end of day, but I never have blisters or anything.

I can’t speak for everyone’s blister issues, but I get blisters no matter what I wear.

Remember there is lots of walking in the heat and humidity in Orlando. Also an issue is trying to get your feet to dry after getting off water rides. Socks and sneakers would not help on water rides.

A comfortable sandal usually fits the bill if you can find one.

I find socks and sneakers comfortable but personally very hot in Orlando. I like to wear sandals to keep my feet cool. But its personal preference. I love sketchers- they are comfy too!

Yep- I find socks and sneakers hot, too!! My best friend is Foot Glide- the Body Glide people make this. I rub it on my feet in the morning and it does work to prevent blisters:thumbsup2

Im off to target tonight - Ill see if they have them there- if not I will try these places. I might have to have some boo boo's magically appear so I can use them!

Plasters? I have never heard of that! I kinda like it!

Yep.......we speak the same language but some things mean very different things in both countries........

Fanny pack is a whole different thing altogether over here!!!

I still have the tag about it under my avatar the tag fairy gave me years ago..........:rotfl:
