We will be spending a week at Universal. We plan on 1 non park day. My kids are 20, 18 and 14. They are asking to go jet skiing. Any place nearby they can do that? Or other fun things similar? TIA

My teens LOVE resort hopping. If you are staying onsite, you are welcome to visit all the different pools at the other resorts. There are bocce courts a PBR. Ping-pong tables at RPR (and the giant nacho dish you can get pool side). There is a lazy river at CB. Live music at HRH pool. I let them wander all over while in the 'bubble'. And they like the recharging effect of not doing the parks all the time while on vacation.

I second the pool hopping at the Resorts. Another option would be playing Put-Put Golf at CityWalk. There are two sides to choose from Haunted or Alien.

You can also get on the 528 East and drive to the beach. It’s about 40 minutes drive depending on traffic. Beaches there are usually pretty busy on weekend though.

There are also some nice Outlet Malls to shop at.

Mall at Millenia is a nice upscale mall not at all far from Universal. Has a Cheesecake Factory restaurant that would be nice for lunch.

How about Top Golf? Not at all similar to Jet Skiing but a different type of activity that won't take all day. Top Golf opened fairly recently and my friends who have gone really liked it.

My teen really likes the escape rooms and there are several of those in the Orlando area. He also liked The Void at Disney Springs. It didn't take very long to do though but he loved it.

I was going to check out The Void for my family in November also. It has great reviews.

We did the Void in March. It was a total blast. It's technically pretty short, but it felt like it lasted a while. I thought it was worth the money and have considered doing it again in November. It was our son, 12 years old, my husband, and I.

Top Golf is fun. I have done that here in Austin a few times, and I don't even really like golf. There's also the mini-golf in CityWalk. I am considering doing that in November if it's too cold to swim at the pools. We are Texans, so our swim-temp tolerance is much lower than others.

My kids, when they were that ages, really liked the go cart places. Fun Spot one, close to Universal has a good track, then another one little further away. Also, my youngest, 17 year old, keeps asking to go up in the Eye. That complex not far from Universal either, and next to the Eye is a small aquarium and wax museum, that may also like. Free parking there, and food options too. And, I would say, spend time in Hard Rock pool. My kids like hearing the music underwater, and well, unless they do not like loud rock music, the Hotel pool gives off a teen vibe. And agree, the little golf courses in Ciry Walk, as well as the AMC theater, are both a hit with my adult and teen kids.
