International Drive Hotels

Just wondering when people go to Orlando what hotel do you normally stay at on International drive that would have shuttle buses to Disney parks and easy to get around International Drive from?

I'd not bother staying on IDrive if I was relying on their transfers. They are unreliable, you often have to book places, and they sometimes make stops at other hotels in the chain.

If I had to be offsite I'd stay in the Lake Buena Vista area in a Disney Neighbour Hotel, or Celebration kinda area and get an Uber.

We're staying on international drive for the first week. We use the iride as it's more reliable than the hotel shuttles for parks.

We've only stayed on I Drive once - great hotel, the Homewood Suites but hated the shuttles. They had two in the morning to all of the parks which dropped at the car parks and then two returns at night. The one from MK meant missing the fireworks therefore resulting in a taxi. This was our first trip and since then we've always stayed on site.

Yeah we found that the last time as well with the fireworks. The I-Drive hotel shuttles always left earlier than the fireworks. We're planning this time to stay on I-Drive while we do the outlets, Seaworld and Universal and then move to Disney to get the evening shows in there easier :goodvibes

Stay onsite. We have started to stay onsite at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club for 6 nights doing the Disney parks then 12 nights at Universal Royal Pacific Resort. Can wander in and out the parks, front of the line at a Universal and IOA, priority seating at citywalk restaurants. International drive is not what it used to be imho. Embassy Suites on I drive is a good hotel if onsite too expensive.

no off site hotel offers a good transportation to the parks, they usually need to be reserved the night before, stop at other hotels and pick you too early. I will look into using uber/lyft, or stay onsite.
Internacional Drive hotels around convention center are the best located if you want to stroll on the street itself and sightseeing.
