Live from Universal & Sapphire Falls 5/24-5/27

So, we thoroughly enjoyed our Breakfast with the minions! It was a very organized event. It took place in an open air pavilion in the Convention Center area of Sapphire Falls. It included all photos with the characters. There were two buffet lines set up and the food included fruit, eggs, sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, pancakes. Another buffet area had toast, bagels, pastries, donuts, and cereal. They offered coffee, tea, juice, and soft drinks. The tables were called up for the character pictures.

We had a great time! Our table mates were very pleasant and we had nice conversations with them! This was an overall enjoyable experience and I would definitely do it again!
We took a side visit to see my niece and family who live here in Orlando. They have a new baby, Amelia. So, I spent the afternoon holding her. She's eight weeks old now and starting to laugh! Miss those days at times!
Back at SF- having a snack and then we are heading over to HRH to spend some time with the staff we know there. Hoping to make a trip to the parks later. Saw a little rain today but dry now!!

A little drizzly tonight but still having a great time! Took a quick trip to IOA , then off to HRH to visit with our staff friends, now off to Strong Water Tavern!!

The weather was still cooperating Saturday afternoon. We decided to have a snack at Dutch Trading Co. They have a nice selection of bagged snacks, but also a variety of salads, sandwiches, and some hot items. And a nice little gelato/sorbet bar! We split a mac & cheese and a salted caramel gelato. Very good! They have refillable mugs here that you can pay by the number of days you'd like. You can refill them from the machine in the store as well as by the pool. If you want a soft drink after they close, you can get a soda refill at one of the restaurants or lounges they told us.
Here's the mug! I'l be using this at work daily now!!

There's only the one mug here which includes the resort. I also want to get the Disney Starbucks mugs for each park! Team members here are so helpful. I forgot to ask for our AP discount, but she saw my lanyard and offered the discount!

We couldn't go home without some Harry Potter items for my son, Kyle's fiancee, Erin. They are soon-to-be Floridians as Kyle will begin medical school at Barry University in Ft. Lauderdale this fall. Erin is going with him- she is a registered nurse specializing in labor/delivery and aspires to be a nurse practitioner. Orlando is only 3 hours away so it's a must-do on any visits to see them!!

Now we were off to our evening destination, HRH!! Have to say we've found a new "home" at Sapphire Falls. It's been just amazing there. But- that just means split stays in the future!!
The lobby at HRH is amazing- and always bustling with music and activity. Tonight was no different as there was a private party in the lobby sitting area. Someone rented it for a graduation party- food and DJ's and all!! But, we could enjoy the music, too!! And we did!!

So we spent the evening with a few glasses of Cabernet from the Velvet lounge, listened to the DJ, and chatted with the staff (who have become like family!!).
The weather was turning now- windy and drizzly. We decided to make an early night of it and head back to SF.
We had planned a trip to Strong Water, but we were just too tired!! Old folks that we are!!
Maybe a quick drink before we head to the airport Sunday, though!!!
