"Strong am I with the Force, but not that strong." - April Dark Side Weekend 2018 - 5/15 Boma

Another awesome report!!!!! Boma seems like the perfect post-race meal since you can pretty much have anything. Of course not that I know what a post race meal should look like :-) Jason is running a 5 miler followed by a half this weekend. Its at a place about an hour from our house so he is all about figuring out where to eat afterwards. He, unlike your hubby, wants to devour everything in his path as quick as possible.

Gantu is absolutely precious. He seems to be getting big so fast!

You know. I have no idea where we ate. I just remember eating pizza in Italy. :confused3 I was 17 and it was my parents decision to do anything so I just went along with it all. Lol.

Love the medals -- so cool. Do you do anything special to display them at home? I wonder what next year's will look like when you're able to choose a side. Good for you for being responsible and getting on the road early. It does make re-entry to the work week easier when the laundry is done, fridge is stocked etc. but it is awfully hard to fight the "devil" on your shoulder telling you to enjoy every last second in WDW! I've not tried Boma as I'm not really a fan of buffets but the food looks good and I know so many rave about it. So, who knows, maybe someday. Sanaa is definitely on my list for next trip. Gantu is just adorable.

We have 3 different medal racks around our home - 2 in the office and 1 in the kitchen. We need to buy another rack soon as they are overly filled!

I'm not a huge buffet fan either and honestly I avoided eating certain items as I saw yucky manners near them - but overall, this buffet has really good food. I would have probably eaten more things if we went at 7:30am when it opened as I could avoid the crowds being there. I think I'll end up going in January while my husband is running the Marathon as I can go right at opening.

You'll love Sanaa! Yum!

Thank you for joining along for this trip! Boma is a great post-race meal. My husband's weird. He has to wait like 3+ hours before he wants to eat everything. I think its because he gets so hot when he runs that when he finally cools down - his body goes in shut down mode for recovery. At least when we do California Grill after Wine & Dine - it will be long enough afterwards that it won't matter. We can drink our weight in mimosas and enjoy all the yummy food.

He has! He's tripled in size already. Last Sunday he was 36.2 pounds but I'm sure he's almost 40 pounds now. The bigger he gets, the more of an issue his mounting is becoming with Gaston for dominance. At least once he's at full height - Gaston will be able to stand under him.

It was probably Alfredo's then. Via Napoli has different pizza than Alfredo's did but still really good. Via Napoli has really traditional Italian pizza (not Sicilian Pizza) with the soft wood fire crust and the whole mozzarella rather than the shredded stuff.

I'm finally all caught up! Loved all the reviews. So sad that we missed the DIS run meet--next time! It would be fun to FINALLY meet DisYoda :) I'm super bummed that I was shut out of our traditional post half brunch at CA Grill this time. By time I went to register it was full. I have alerts set so we'll see. Super bummed as we usually do 12:30, which would have overlapped with you guys. We have Ragland Road as a backup. That scone so good. I'll have to try that. I had the one at Rose and Crown and it was very disappointing. :(

You are doing Wine & Dine right? Hopefully you can run into me then! We have a long trip then - November 1st to 11th. Maybe you'll be able to get the brunch as people cancel it.

Raglan Road is a great brunch though! We did that in February after my husband ran the half before we drove home. At least it will be good and cheaper than California Grill! My husband has never been to Rose & Crown and its been about 18 years since I last went. We've done the bar for drinks but never food. Sorry you had a bummer scone!

Gantu is just too cute! Frose was totally my pool drink that week at AKL!

He is too cute! He can get away with so much because of his face. Over the last week, he's calmed down a lot which is awesome. We also got him the easy walker harness today which has helped a lot with walking him. Now just to get him consistent with heel like we have him with Sit, Down, Come, Stay and Left Paw/Shake. We'll get there!

Glad you got to enjoy all the Frose! I expect to have a lot in November!

Gantu is adorable!!!!!!! Just getting caught up with your reviews and wanted to say thank you for your first review of Enzo's and Nonna’s Pasta....girl, we had that dish last month and LOVED it!!!!

Love your reviews.
Boma breakfast is my favourite but it is a shame your DH didn’t eat more!!!
Glad your dinner at Yachtsman was good with good service.
We had issues there last trip which has put me off returning so nice to hear your service was up to scratch.

We are indeed! This will be my first and probably only challenge :)
Good to hear on Raglan if we don’t get a cancellation. We ate there for dinner last trip and had a great time. The baileys shake was insane!

Glad you were able to enjoy Enzo's as well! My husband was tempted to try something else last time but just couldn't go with something else as it was amazing. Hopefully they have a fun wine/cocktail dinner during Food & Wine Festival so we can enjoy their pairings!

Gantu has gotten so big over the last few weeks - when we got him March 26th - he was 13 pounds. Yesterday he was 48 pounds! A few more pounds and I'm not going to be able to pick him up anymore! My husband probably will be able to though.

Well - my husband is the type that after doing a heavy workout, he doesn't always want a lot of food at least not until a bit later. Since we ate so soon after the race, he just couldn't eat much yet. We are correcting that issue for November so we aren't eating brunch until noon! Plus we have to kill time between switching resorts so drinking a lot will workout well.

I've found that a lot of restaurants can be off on service. Its one of the reasons why we don't have to do California Grill dinner every trip! Plus with so many options, it is easy to take places out of rotation for a bit. Hopefully, when you do eventually go back, you are given the service expected!

We are indeed! This will be my first and probably only challenge :)

You may become addicted to the challenges like you have RunDisney. Maybe a Goofy is in your future like it is my husband?

Did you see that Maria & Enzo's and Homecoming are doing brunches now too? Those are also some new options to try out if you can't get California Grill! I've had the bailey's shake before from the outdoor bar - it is super yum!

Ha! I doubt it. I like my cocktails at Disney and two early mornings are already sounding not fun. I hadn’t heard about the new brunches I’ll check them out! Thanks!

Well better later than never! Grrr! I can't believe I missed this report!!! Too much to comment on, but we'll start with Gantu....precious!!! Love everything you ordered as usual! So bummed I missed the DIS meet up, it was our first vacay with 9 family members and I had a total freak out....I actually didn't end up running the HM...it was a princess weekend 2017 Deja's vu! Anywho, I'll be there W&D and marathon so I hope to finally meet!!!
