Airmiles MEGA MILES ****Bonus miles are posting now*** Timeline added to 1st post

Just got an Indigo email, free shipping, no minimum. In case anyone is looking for a "cheap" airmiles shop online, don't need to spend over $25 (is it still that on Indigo?).

But to count for MM your purchase has to be a minimum of 20$ before tax.

Thanks. I have a $50 Chapters gift card to use. One kid wants a How to Draw Manga book and the other an adult coloring book.
Indigo also has a 5X multiplier until March 24th so a great airmilesshop transaction!

Hi everyone. I've been away on a Disney vaca for the past 1 and a half. Got soem Sobeys cards today to start off my MM collecting. My wife and I have separate cards from the SIM offer and I have a question.
I have both a BMO and an AMEX card, but both are tied to my wife's AM # XXXXX. When I opt in to the CC offer for MM, I have to put in an AM #. Does that AM # have to match the one that is tied to the card on a regular basis, or can I sign up say the AMEX card to my # YYYYY for the MM promotion? This way I can have a CC option for both AM cards, rather than 2 for 1 card only. I think no, but I thought I'd ask the experts. Hopefully I've explained things in a way that make sense.

I can only speak about BMO. As you said, the credit card is tied to an airmiles number so I would think the only way to make it work would be to go into the BMO credit card account and change the airmiles number that will receive the airmiles to yours and then opt in under your number. However, at this point I'm not sure it would work, depending on how they would determine the cut off point for each airmiles number. I would think this might work but would be better done before a promo starts.

Staples has this whole refund claw back your miles issue worked out ... we bought hubby a surface on a day it was 25X the miles, translated to a TRUCK LOAD. Darned thing wouldn't stay turned on so we took it back and did a straight up exchange which their POS system treated as a refund/repurchase. My AM account showed the miles in and out on the same day because it was a weekend. Took about a week for them to get back into the account.
I hope so. My online Staples order during their ink sale had an issue - they didn't have something from my order in stock so they shipped without it. I called an had it substituted and they shipped the other item but it now shows as 2 transactions. The Staples phone agent said they would like the transactions together and the airmiles coupon would still work. I hope so because it is 2 of my coupons (Staples & airmilesshops). Now to wait!

You better keep everything you have tightly crossed because Staples online is my AM nemesis!! They are *usually ok* for standard offers & occasionally with any multiplier BUT never, not once, has it worked during one of these big promos. Now this is a YMMV situation because others have had success but every time i contact AM about Staples the response is "we know, we've had other complaints" I've decided not to include them in my online shopping during events that require a threshold of some sort. I'll say some AM prayers for you!!!!

And I'm done!

My card:

Since there has been a bit of conversation surrounding online shopping I've updated the post dedicated to that. I've alphabetized the stores that have multipliers so that if (or rather when) anyone needs to chase down miles they'll know how many they deserve.
Online Shopping

Timeline for receiving miles thru the Airmilesshop portal is slightly different than other partners BTW, so if you do need to follow-up don't let an online chat agent steer you wrong!
Directly from the FAQs on that webpage:

When will my Miles appear in my account?
Base Miles may take up to 60 days from the date of qualifying purchase to be posted to your Collector account.
Bonus Miles may take up to 75 days from the date of qualifying purchase to be posted to your Collector account. Please note, if you booked travel through an airmilesshops.ca online store, your Miles will be issued up to 60 days from when your trip was completed for Base Miles, and up to 75 days after trip completion for Bonus Miles.
Miles will show in your Collector account from airmilesshops.ca and the online store where you shopped, and Miles from a single transaction may appear in multiple line items if you took advantage of any Bonus Offers and/or sitewide multiplier events.

Well, I almost blew it!

In preparation for this Mega Miles event, I topped up my measly 66 cash miles to 104 by switching dream to cash a few weeks back (thanks again @ottawamom for the suggestion)

Then last night I had to run into Metro to get milk and cheese. I had my MM get 50 AMs coupon printed and was about to redeem my $10 cash reward when I thought I had better read the coupon. Sure enough it is only valid for March 22 to March 25.

Needless to say, I didnt redeem my hard earned 100 cash miles!!!!!

Now I just have to remember to go out to Metro between those days...

Never fear, from here on out I will be putting important flyer related & time sensitive reminders here!!

Update Re: Sobeys
On Friday morning, I bought 2 $150 GC, cashier scanned my mega miles coupon for the first GC purchase and when I handed her a second coupon for my second GC she said that you could only use one mega miles coupon because it would only qualify once. When I questioned the coupon and the bonus AM, she advised it was the same promotion and the only thing the coupon did was get you your sponsor store credit. I didn't push it because if you read the flyer it did say 150 bonus AM not regular AM.
Then I saw many people posting on the weekend about getting 300 AM and others being told that the coupon entitled you to the extra 150 AM. I stopped in at my Sobeys today and talked to the manager. She agreed that on Friday morning there was some confusion about the promotion. She agreed that the cashier should have scanned my second coupon (it isn't like I was trying to use the same coupon, I had 2 with me) and she "made it right" and gave me my 150 AM. While she was "making it right" the email regarding the promotion was on the counter beside her (and I am good at reading upside down) and it said that the gift cards had to be in separate transactions with a mega miles coupon for each gift card. It said if multiple gift cards were purchased in the same transaction and a mega miles coupon was presented, it would only qualify an extra 150 AM for the mega miles, not 150 AM for each gift card.

Thanks. I am currently getting a few more partners done just in case.

We have the same with IGA Express and my Mega Miles coupon for Shell worked there. Went the first day of the promotion (March 8) and used the Shell coupon. The MM miles are clearly labeled as such on the receipt AND they posted correctly on DH’s account.
how long did it take. I used mine on Saturday. Haven't seen them on my account yet though.

You explained yourself perfectly but I'm not sure i can find an answer to your question! (Not for lack of looking though) I'm thinking the answer is probably no unless there is an easy way to go into your credit card account and link a different AM to the card. I do know it's possible with HBC reward card to go in a switch back & forth at any point in time but since hubby has the credit card accounts on the computer that is with him at a client i can't check! You might want to put a call into the customer service of the credit cards and ask if they would do that, I know someone had to get their AMEX fixed up after signing up for one of the bonus and they created a new AM account to link it to.

There is still time to do the MM promo, here's the Terms & Conditions for the MC coupon

    • Opt-in requirements: To qualify for this offer, you must (a) opt in for the Offer by entering your AIR MILES Collector Number and clicking the "Submit" button on http://airmilesmegamiles.ca/en/optin-bmo on or before April 12, 2018, and (b) make 20 purchases using your eligible BMO AIR MILES Mastercard between from March 8 and April 12, 2018, inclusive. These 20 purchases do not have to be made at the same retailer and can be made at multiple retailers. There is no minimum spend amount required per transaction. Purchase transactions do not include cash advances, balance transfers, interest charges, fee payments, credit or debit adjustments, or any other amounts that may be charged to the account. "Purchases" refer to the number of times your card is used to pay for goods or services, not how many items are bought in a transaction. Actions (a) and (b) as listed above cumulatively count as one (1) Bonus Offer during the MEGA MILES® Promotion. See the MEGA MILES Promotion Terms and Conditions for promotional details. This offer is valid only for the AIR MILES Collector Number associated with your BMO AIR MILES Mastercard account. A limit of one (1) offer applies per credit card account. To qualify for this offer, your BMO AIR MILES Mastercard account must be in good standing at the time the Bonus Miles are awarded. Offer is subject to change without notice.

Still nothing from Amazon, Indigo, Gap, Old Navy or Apple. Old Navy hasn't even shipped my order that was placed last Monday, March 12.

Only things that have posted are Rexall and Shell and the survey site.

My Shell and L.C.B.O miles have posted. Nothing from Amazon or Indigo and no miles from Sobey's pharmacy yet (but that should be this Thursday).

A reminder that you should have a LoadnGo offer from Rexall that is valid Wednesday & Thursday for Spend $40 get 60 AM and you *should* be able to combine that with the MM coupon which is good thru April 6th. ALSO don't forget you can use the MM coupon as many times as you want for the entire time it is valid to get those extra 40 miles!! The flyer is pretty miserable this week though with only 9 AM offers so you might want to wait until the new one starts on Friday and hope you can do better by adding items with bonus miles to your transaction

The Duck wishes she had remembered that on Saturday when she couldn't reach the $50 mark so that the $40 would have netted 100 instead of only 40 :headache:

Just curious - where is the 60 AM LoadnGo? this must be targeted based on demographics and shopping history data as the AM site loadngo section has never had a single offer for my card ever
