We are intrigued with the Amazon/Galapagos Adventure ---summer departures as we are taking the kiddos. Thank you very much to abbyjt for an excellent trip report from 1/16 which has highly influenced our decision to go. A few questions we had...
1) For those who have been on the adventure in the summer.... understand the weather in the Galapagos is "chilly". How does this impact the activities? This is our first trip to Ecuador, so we don't have anything to compare it to.
2) Have read mixed reviews of the Anaconda river boat (on other boards). What were your thoughts? Obviously won't spend much time in the room, but believe you are on the boat for 4 nights and all of your meals so it is a significant part of the adventure.
3) Re: meals. Lower priority... we have picky eaters. Do they have plenty of plain rice/pasta? We did the China ABD last summer and the kiddos ate plain rice for breakfast/lunch/dinner the entire trip (even at Club 33... sigh... but they were happy). Assume this will be the case on this adventure too?
Thanks for your thoughts in advance.
