Via Napoli?

Glad you posted this. I will be following. We had the Margarita pizza and enjoyed it, just thought the crust was a bit under done. Unless that's the way it's supposed to be? We have a reservation for dinner there in the Spring. Was just talking to husband last night about it. We both enjoyed the pizza, just wish the crust was done more. Maybe we can just request that?

We ordered a mezzo half sausage, half cheese (yes, I know they have different names on the menu, but don't recall them). IT WAS DELICIOUS!! We also enjoyed the salad and the calamari. The zeppole was good, but afterwards, I wished I had gotten the tiramisu instead.

Caution to those who have not eaten here before: VN pizza is NOT like your local pizzeria (unless you live in NY). It is a very thin crust, but it is oh soooo good.

We ate there last month. I had the quattro formaggi and it was to die for. We also had the house salad, which was also excellent. My extremely picky eater devoured the ravioli. Service was fantastic. I can't say enough good things. I wish we had been able to eat dessert.

Ate there in November. I had the seafood pasta, which I really enjoyed. The pizza there isn't bad, but the crust can occasionally be burned (supposed to be charred, but at least once was burned).

One warning--the restaurant is super-loud inside. Our daughter gets migraines, so we can't sit inside at Via Napoli because of the noise. They have outside seating which is very nice, although you may have a fairly long wait for an outside table. Of course, outside doesn't work if it is raining or cold.

It's a must do for us every year. We usually get a large pizza and an appetizer. The food is always great and a large pizza feeds our family of 4 (kids are only 7 & 9). So even though the pizza looks pricey, overall, it's one of the more inexpensive meals.

The pizza is fine, it's not the best pizza I've ever eaten but a lot of folks here love it. I have seen the comment about underdone and charred dough before but I don't recall that being an issue when we ate there. @GeorgiaHoo mentioned the noise level, it's obnoxiously loud in there. I'd dine there again but I'm not going to be the one to bring it up the rest of my party ;)

I do remember it being loud but I thought Coral Reef and Chefs Dr France was also loud but I love the food so I go back it's worth the hour or so of being in a loud enviroment...for me anyway...

Glad to hear some positive reviews. We are going to try this for the first time on this coming trip. Might be nice to eat a little less expensively and spend the money on another meal. :)

Pizza purists so we ordered the Margherita.
Tastes a lot like real NYC pizza charred bottom and all.
We'll be back later this month and looking forward to the experience.

When they're on, it can be very good.
When they're not, it can be very underwhelming.

We've experienced both ends of the spectrum, and points in between in a dozen or so visits. One of the most inconsistent restaurants on property, IMO.

Oh, I hope they are on next week!

Thank you all for all your responses! I am planning on going next week...so I will report back!

I think this is partly par for the course with wood fired pizza ovens. They are inconsistent
We have 2 here and both suffer similar issues as Via Napoli with sometimes overdone and sometimes underdone. We always consider it just the way these crusts are

I've been fortunate to not get a burnt one, just the delicious charred
