So i have character dining reservations through out our stays. I would like to switch one out because we are doing it twice but don't know what to switch it to.

We have Storytellers reserved for breakfast on a Fri at around 10 am. We will be doing EMH at DCA that day. But we also have storytellers reserved for brunch on Sat around 11 am. We will be doing EMH at DL. I would like to keep the brunch one just because more variety is offered.

Which do i keep and which do i switch and to what??

We are already doing plazza breakfast, surfs up, goofys kitchen.

I'd agree about keeping the Saturday brunch. A later time also gives you time to go and enjoy early less crowded hours at Disneyland before eating.

For Friday, do you need to keep a reservation for breakfast? You could just do something quick and maybe have an early lunch instead? What exactly is your reservation schedule?

For Friday the only other reservation we have is Goofys at 6:30 pm
I was thinking grabbing something quick for breakfast( Starbucks or restaurant in DCA) and then like you said having a late lunch. But there are not many places to reserve and that Friday will be Dec 29. and i am sure it will be crazy busy. I am not sure what to pick in DCA for lunch. We will have a 6 and 9 year old. What breakfast place can be fast and what are good places to grab lunch

I would actually go with Ariel's Grotto if you want a reservation. It is a character meal, but I really like the food there. And it'll be closing in January, so it'll be your last time to see it.

If you want counter service, there's Smokejumpers (burgers, chicken tenders, etc), Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta, the Pacific Wharf area (which has a Mexican restaurant, bread bowl place, and chinese place). Or, you could check the menus for the Festival of Holidays booths and pick up a couple of those. I've been pretty impressed with the food I've gotten from there. But I don't know how picky your kids are and if they will like the various options.

You could also consider leaving DCA and heading to Downtown Disney or a resort. I've always heard good things about White Water Snacks at the Grand Californian, and it is really close to the entrance from California Adventure. Could be a nice place to relax a bit before heading back into the parks.

For breakfast, Ariel's Grotto has a breakfast too, but I don't know if there are any reservations available. Then there is starbucks as you mentioned. Plenty of opportunities in Downtown Disney: Ralph Brennan Express also has quick options, including beignets for breakfast. Or La Brea Bakery or Earl of Sandwich would be a couple other options.

Ariel's grotto is not something DD wants to do. She likes the princesses, but from reviews on character interactions we are not inclined to do that character breakfast. We have seen them in the the royal hall i think and they are much more active with her there.

I was thinking about just doing the festivals of holidays booths for lunch. Does the food there run out or is it available all through out the day? Whitewater snacks could also be an option. How is the breakfast at Flos?

The booths should be available throughout the day. If they do run low on something they can typically restock, but it could be a 30 minute delay.

I haven't personally gone to Flos for breakfast but I know it has good reviews.

They might be out of a specific item temporarily - that happened to us for drinks a couple of times when we were there last weekend, but for the most part they seemed to stay well stocked. If there was a long line they also made a point to announce what they were out of to the line from time to time so people don't wait unnecessarily. Lots of good options there.

I've had breakfast at Flo's once. It was a good, basic breakfast with lots of quiet seating available. I seem to remember liking the potatoes. I thought the portions were really big, but I don't usually eat breakfast so it might just have been too much for me at that moment.

thanks me and DH don't do much breakfast either except for coffee but the girls do. Our breakfast we do have reserved is mostly after 10 so that it can be breakfast and lunch.

I think I will do Flo's and maybe try the food in the booths.

Is there any restaurant in DCA that does the mickey shaped pancakes or waffles?

White Water Snacks in the Grand Californian has Mickey waffles. An easy in and a out to DCA. We always grab a breakfast there.
