DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

I would gladly take the heat over the cold.

Interesting.
I can dress up for cold. No matter how cold. With heat you just suffer.

I agree with Norm...I'd rather have the heat than the cold.

Another vote for heat here. I just really hate being cold.

As you were. Toodle Pip.

Wait, what did you call me?

So far I think I'll be able to do it. Looking forward to it since other than a few long weekends, it's the first real break I'll get since June when I took this new job.

Enjoy the rest, Jeff!

Jeff, don't forget to get gas for your snowblower, sounds like you may need it.

And an air filter. And a new splicing gasket.

Hey guys, thanks for the well wishes. Pretty sore today. A number of years ago, I broke three ribs on the same side and that was really painful. Not a damn thing they can do about it either. This is not that bad but still is a pain. Should be back to normal in a couple of days. Trying to make it until 5 before I self medicate.

Dang. Hope you can rest and recover.

Other way around. Cold for injury. Heat for pain relief.

Morning compadres, from the mother country. A balmy +4 and relatively clear skies.
Nothing major (or minor, TBH) to report.
As you were. Toodle Pip.

Pddidy snizzle tipsey.

I agree with Norm...I'd rather have the heat than the cold. I suffered frostbite several years ago and once you've had it you're more susceptible to getting it again. Cold physically HURTS for me! True, you can put on more clothes, but then you can't move or if you fall down, it's like a turtle on their back. Also, if you do a job that requires finger dexterity (I feel bad for the construction guys), really hard to do many things with gloves (much less mittens) on.

::yes:: This.

Stop with the five. Pirate. Drink anytime. :sail:

It's past 5 in Dan's world.

Or, there is the pirate thing.

Last one there has to go home with Skar and you know he's into hurting people, especially those wearing mankinis or budgie smugglers. :lmao:

And just how would you know? :lmao:

Would that self medication be neat or on the rocks?

Neat. Unless it's bad whiskey, than ice at a minimum, better with coke and ice.

Morning esteemed effendis, from a 0, clear & sunny mother country. I see a Breakfast Special Bagel from our deli in my immediate future. It comes with 2 Sausage and 2 bacon from our local butcher, and a fried egg to top it off. Maybe some ketchup to provide the veg element, on an everything bagel.

I'm having mine in a mug.
Pirate style. Lovin' it.

Not a fan of Whiskey and coke, I'd rather stick it in an old fashioned.

Pddidy snizzle tipsey.
I had no idea you attended Oxford.

Wait, what did you call me?
A cad and a fustilarian. Oh yeah. I went there. It's on, baby.

Hello gents, very busy week at work but finally getting a break to check in
Always a pleasure to hear you check in mate, never a chore. Did you get the blower out?

Have a legendary Saturday chaps, whatever is tickling your fancy.

Morning Guys,

Late start this morning, slept in to 10 am. Bit warmer today, only -9c. Apparently we are on our way to see about a new mattress before heading to the basketball game. The boys are 1-1 and need the win to get to the cross-overs tomorrow.

Have a good one all.

Afternoon. Good tennis this morning for 90 minutes. Problem was that we play for 2 hours. I really need to get back in the gym.

Watched Man City destroy Tottenham.

I agree. I would like an Old Fashioned over Coke, but there is usually Coke around when there is bad whiskey.

Happy Saturday. Just sitting on the couch bouncing between bowl games. Trying not to move too much.

I loved it in New York. My first blizzard up there, I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. Now I can't take it. Give me hot over cold every time.

The kid is the Pirate, not me. But you may have something there.

In college they sold coke at the football games. Back when they were a little lax on the alcohol ban, the smell of bourbon and coke was everywhere. Best Old Fashion at WDW is at the Belle Vue Lounge at the Boardwalk.

ONLY -9? No thanks.

Well, if Monroe county does a good job controlling them, then for those of us who want to be further North in FL, that won't be a problem.
It was a lot easier when gators were too populous...they just let us hunt 'em. Good eating!
I'm kinda surprised...I thought it was the anacondas people were releasing in the everglades that were a bigger problem.

We needed a new coffin ....

SQUIRREL!!!!

Morning boys from a grey London. DS and Lady K going to see Star Wars in the West End, I'm taking the curly haired ninja to Hamleys, our version of FAO Schwartz. West Ham battered Stoke 3-0 away yesterday, so at the minute the new guy is working out.
Have a good day chaps.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Really enjoyed the Last Jedi and me and DS are thinking one of the best SW films. Enjoy your Sunday.

As we are all in a medicatin’ mood, let’s all raise one to Uncle Walt, who passed this day 51 years ago. Salut.
Cheers Mr Disney

Where’s the Tylenol.........

Happy Sunday. Finished work this morning. Every program cancelled next three weeks for holidays, so i was able to get a bunch of administrative stuff done.

Home to watch Green Bay and Carolina game. You all

Can you not drink at college games?

The issue is under age drinking, because you can sign up for military service at 18 but not buy alcohol to 21. I'm not sure if the stadiums are not selling them though, but security has been increased to prevent bad media coverage. I remember just getting ripped outside tailgating before the game, and it was a lot cheaper, too.

.........

Glad to hear. I was really disappointed in Force Awakens, and skipped Rouge 1 because of it. The last battle scene of Rouge 1 looked great, but not the rest. I was thinking about skipping this one as well. I guess we'll go see it during these holiday weeks.

Evening Guys,

Another cold day, tried to do as little as possible. I did put the lights on the tree and wrapped a few gifts.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Interesting.

This. Love my skiing. Miss it very much. Hopefully the year after next. In your fine country again.
And an air filter. And a new splicing gasket
And then there's your labour......
