The Rumor Tracking Thread

Take it with a grain of salt but there is a recent “last minute” proposal that would have Star tours remain and exit into SWGE however is unlikely due to the reconfiguration that they would need to do to the land.
I personally can't see that happening. It'll cause one of two things; 1) ridiculous queues for Star Tours, just to get into SWGE. or 2) Guests using Star Tours as a 'fast track' entrance into SWGE, causing over-capacity issues in the land. The new ending on Batuu is interesting though...

Yep, all of the WDWMagic people don’t see t happening either.

I agree the new ending is interesting - though I feel like it is, if anything, and advertisement to visit the new land and nothing more

Does make me feel that it increases the chances Star tours sticks around longer than perhaps we originally thought

At the same time, I mean, when was the last time Disney execs decided NOT to do something that would save them or make them money (another attraction in SWGE without doing anything) even though it would create a logistical nightmare ????

I could see it happening ...

They can make money by retheming Star tours too. I don’t think it will happen. It would require a good amount of extra work.

I never understood why they didn't configure it SOMEHOW to keep ST, though. Why start a land with 2 attractions if it can have 3 without any extra work??

Seems a little late to try to do that now, though.

Even if it doesn't happen, I'm curious how they're proposing this would work, in terms of moving guests directly past Grand Avenue/Plaza and into SWL. The only possible reconfiguration I could see is snaking Galaxy's Edge around the back of Muppets, which doesn't remotely seem feasible given the service road situation. That road is also unlikely to be easily diverted, at least while construction continues in the lot.

Perhaps this new exit/entrance could be done further the 2020's? Not directly after the land opens, but as an option to keep Star Tours around longer?

Same thing at DL. I get that at DL there's no way at all to make them adjacent, but that park is going to be overrun with Star Wars fans when it opens. Going from 1 SW attraction to 2 (after closing ST) seems really inadequate to handle that demand.

Yes it would go behind muppets and go right into SWL next to the Battle attraction.

Couple things...

VisionarySoul on WDWMagic says the gondolas will have AC

Martin says AK and another WDW park are "fighting" over an IP to add to the parks.

Indy is still a good possibility for Animal Kingdom.

OC Register's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge "map" has the table service and cantina mixed up.

I assume by "another WDW" you mean another park at WDW ... and I could see it being Indy and between AK and DHS

oooooh that is interesting stuff !!!

The AC has been such a HOT debate here (you see what I did there?). I personally never really took a side on it, I mean, I thought it was crazy not to have AC, but also Disney might figure out a way.

The IP is also very interesting, I do wonder what "other park" it would be. And I am a little surprised AK is still a potential recipient of more investment. I thought the eyes had turned to EPCOT and a little at MK after HS, now that AK had Pandora and night time stuff.
