Hello all!
So, we just purchased our DVC directly from Disney, home resort is Copper Creek. During the purchase phone call our guide mentioned that we could book in any resort or "we could book in our home resort and take advantage of a welcome home celebration that we have for new members".
That was the last thing I heard about it and I didn't ask anymore because 1) I like surprises, and 2) I didn't want to sound like I was expecting something special (I truly am not). However, I am now in a bit of a pickle. We are going in May and I was planning on doing an In-Room celebration for my son...but now I wonder if we are going to get something from DVC or if I should still book our own? Those things are expensive and I wouldn't want to book something if we are getting something anyway...
Again...I am NOT EXPECTING ANYTHING, but it would be good to know just for planning purposes. So, for those who purchased recently and who booked their first vacation in your home resort, did you get anything at all? (No spoilers please!!!)
