I love credit cards so much!

DH and I opened a Chase checking account 2 years ago so we would have a local bank. When we realized that we could get Disney debit cards, we were both ecstatic. And then I learned that you get the same in park benefits with the debit card as you do with the credit card. All we really wanted the credit card for is the Chase exclusive meet and greet, and now we get it without needing to take up a 5/24 slot.
I didn't know this...thank you! I have a Chase checking account but we never got debit cards because we knew we'd never use them. I think I'll just order them and keep them in the safe until the next time we go to WDW!

EDIT: I guess we did get debit cards, but I stuck them in the safe because we never use them. I hope I can trade them for Disney ones.

Can I just say that my Disney Visa came... and it is gorgeous. I chose the Disneyland 60 theme. For a plastic, no fee card it has class. No one else in my life will care, but I thought you guys might "get" it. :)
That's mine too and I LOVE it! The card is so pretty I actually wished I used for everyday purchases, but I know better! (Also something only others here might get- the person in front of me at the grocery store a couple days ago paid with the Disney Visa with characters all over it and I so wanted to Disney geek out and say something to her but she was putting off a very strong "leave me alone" vibe so I just smiled to myself and thought about my upcoming trips!)

Can I change my arrival day on an AA ticket that I purchased with points? Is there a penalty to do so? I want to leave a day earlier now.
No personal experience. Found this one their website "If you change your outbound award travel date to within 21 days of the original booking date, a $75 award processing fee will apply, provided the new date is valid for the original award type claimed" https://www.aa.com/i18n/aadvantage-program/miles/redeem/award-travel/award-travel.jsp

My boss can hardly complain. I am a dietitian and it's in the shape of a strawberry... with Mickey ears. Lol.
That's awesome. This is my work ring, for now while my engagement ring is out for a custom band, and in case they stop letting us wear rings with diamonds and such:

Can you request additional cards for the different designs?
Yes you can! I have a few different ones.
Life changer! I was struggling to choose between the castle design and the dalmatians lol

I had no idea about the debit cards until it came in the mail with a pamphlet. The guy at Chase didn't mention it.

I wish I had known more when I started this. We probably would have gotten the Disney Visas anyways because we did the no fee card with the $200 gift card offer, but it was our second card for both of us... wasting a spot! Oh well. At the time I was not thinking long term like I am now :) I was focused on our honeymoon and reducing hotel/flight costs... But we are saving $2200+ on those from what I had budgeted originally plus ended up with $600 from the Visas sign up and referrals. And I've learned so much! Most importantly, this hobby isn't as scary as it sounds

If anyone has a legit business and is after Chase Ink Preferred I can confirm the 100,000 point offer for signing up with a business relationship manager in branch is still live. Doc has the deal live until mid-August I think. (Somewhere I saw that most people aren't eligible as BRMs are supposed to focus on businesses with 500,000+ in revenue but some of us have had luck applying through them with smaller companies anyway.) Personally I REALLY wouldn't try this route if your company is not an actual company but if it is and you have Chase branches nearby it might be worth making some calls to see if you can get an appointment with the Business Relationship Manager (not all branches have them) to put in the application with them before mid-August.

We just got the CIP via online app. I wonder if we ask in the Chase private message system if they will give us the 100,000 points vs the 80,000???
I am going aug too and plan to use freedom for dining and CSP for charging everything else to the room. Sound right? Sorry, I am new to all this. Previously as detailed as igot was using SW card exclusively and earning CP. I am not used to figuring out the best card to use on a daily basis.
That's what I'm planning on doing too!

Question for the experts on the board :) Heading to Disney on Aug 16. Wondering which card to have on file for Magicband charges - Chase Freedom Unlimited or Chase Sapphire? Will CS code as travel or hotel at 2x? If not, I'll use CFU for the 1.5. TIA

theres an app called wallaby that gives u an idea on what card you should use where. It tracks your GPS so you can see locally around u what card you should be using.

you can try... YMMV though. chances are no, but you never know. I got Chase to match me twice (10k each for CI+ and CSP)

Many have tried, one or two actually succeeded. I think those who succeeded applied in branch (just not through the BRM). You don't have anything to lose.

Now that I have my flights arranged can I rebook with my UR points for the whole time or would it be easier to just book a seperate night and have a split stay?

you get used to it once you learn the trade. the idea is to redeem using points if its over the cash value. basically 1pts = $.01 if you redeem cash. When you room rate with points and its over $.01, its generally a good use of points. ie, a $500 room for 30,000 pts = 500/30,000 =$.0166. WORTH IT... ie $500 room for 60,000 pts = 500/60000 = $.0083 NOT WORTH IT.
why u may ask? well, i can usually redeem @ $.01 per point so basically its better to pay for the $500 room if its 60,000 points and then redeeming 50,000 pts to cash or statement credit.

hopefully that makes sense to you!

edit: i had it backwards.

Yes CSP points are worth 1.25 and CSR are worth 1.5. Both can be used to purchase travel at that value per points. When you transfer Freedom points to CSP they are worth more. Freedom points cannot be used to transfer to airline or hotel partners. You have to transfer them to the CSP first and then they can be transferred to an airline or hotel partner.

Each flight or hotel booking may be different. In some cases you are better off transferring to the airline if there is award availability and in some you are better off paying with UR points through the travel portal. A few years ago I booked a flight from Paris to Miami in first class. United has award availability for 50,000 miles and $55. The cost of the flight has I paid cash or with points was well over $7,000 and would have required several hundred thousand UR points to pay for it through the travel portal.

What I have found to be most helpful is taking the time to read different blogs. As a newbie 5 years ago I read all the beginner sections of the travel hacker blogs I would come across. I would also lurk on FlyerTalk and attempt to decipher what was being discussed. I will list some of the blogs that I follow below.

I truly appreciate all of the advice everyone has given! I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my CSP, and trying to learn as much as I can about how to best use my rewards in the process. The numbers and determining the value of certain points is what's confusing me, but I'm hoping once I log into the UR I'll be able to make more sense of all of it. I also plan to take a look at the websites you listed above to get more information.

I'm determined to learn as much as I can and make my WDW birthday dream vacation the best (and cheapest) that I can! :)

You're welcome:-) The hobby can seem a bit overwhelming at first. It does take some time and due diligence to study and learn. Fortunately, there are tons of resources on the "interwebs" plus we have a pretty awesome group here on this thread so we can all learn from each other. We all learn at different paces and that is ok. Making our dream vacations come true is what it's all about. I am 5 years into this hobby and I still feel like I barely know what I'm doing. Considering all the amazing things I've been able to experience because of this hobby, I am totally ok with that.

Wait, what? Next time I get the offer for a bonus to open accounts at Chase, I'm all over this. Just got the Chase Disney but will dump that for this deal.
