All training obviously has stopped. The event is Sunday October 29th. Didnt look yet to see when the expo is, bike check-in, packet pickup, any mandatory meetings/briefings are yet. Going to make it a 2 day drive each way. Hope not to sore when done. Have to celebrate at Food and Wine Festival on way back home.

Summer colds (especially in FL) are horrible and seem to last forever! Glad you are on the mend.

They have a lot of community support but know their pain is great. SO glad they adopted a little girl a few years ago. I THOUGHT that's what you'd said earlier but wasn't sure. Our hearts break for any parent that looses a child :sad1:; there's another parent in our community really struggling this summer too. Her son was murdered in late spring while he was spending some time with his Dad's family. They were so excited when Lilly was born; the doctor's had given them SO much hope that she wouldn't suffer the same disorder as Stuart. That's why they did the genetic testing after it was discovered she too would have a very short life. Carrie was not 100% behind the latest surgery and really, really struggled with the final decision to let them do it. Lilly just couldn't handle it and never woke up; they decided Monday to turn those machine's off and our entire community started sending support. They were of the belief that she deserved to finally be "free" which motivated them to make that final decision. And you know exactly what they went through :hug:. :tink:

I saw a "funny" the other day and wish I'd have done the "copy/paste" thing for here :rotfl2: 'cause I can't remember exactly what it said but was something like..."If the South is so bad with the heat and humidity why is it I don't hear of anyone MOVING TO THE NORTH when they retire"! :rolleyes1 Summer colds are our "punishment" for having "snow free winters" :lmao:...we ALL have to "suffer" :rolleyes1 a little! :rotfl2: :tink:
